Acespearagus was a plant found in Plants vs. Zombies Adventures. He was the VIP version of the Aspearagus. The player obtained him after completing Cadaver Cavern Level 2.

Origins

Like Aspearagus, he was based on the asparagus (Asparagus officinalis), a spring vegetable and flowering perennial plant species in the genus of the same name.  He is also based on a fighter pilot, a military aviator trained to engage in air-to-air combat while in the cockpit of a fighter aircraft.  

His name was a portmanteau of "ace," seeing as he had a fighter pilot's helmet; and Aspearagus, his non-VIP version.

Trivia

• His damage was equal to Shamrock, but Acespearagus shot farther and did not hide.
• If the player looked closely, he had a crosshair on his helmet.
• His spears resembled rockets. In fact, if the player looked close enough, there was a small fire on his spears.
• In the Facebook description, the word "garden warfare" may be a nod to Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, even though he does not appear in that game.
  • Also, the "Danger Zone" appeared in his description was Sky Trooper's primary weapon name. This may just be a coincidence, however.
• He was the first VIP plant to be added via an update.
