Amber Gemma is an Elusive Plant Foe in Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. She resembles a Peashooter wearing the "Sappy Pea" Costume who can be encountered by triggering a Battle Zone in the Z-Tech Factory located in Weirding Woods.

Her special ability allows her to turn nearby plants within a 6 m (19.69 ft) radius invincible and heals them by 30 HP every 0.25 seconds.

Defeating her unlocks the ELUSIVE FOE: Amber Gemma medal.

Origins

Amber Gemma gets her first name from "Amber," fossilized tree resin, which coincides with her tree sap based appearance, as well as being a popular feminine name.

Her last name, "Gemma," comes from amber's use as a decorative gemstone, being used in both jewelry and displays.

Strategies

Because she is able to turn nearby plants invincible, it's best to take her out as soon as possible, as the invincible plants can be very annoying especially if you try to deplete the enemy forces. As with many other NPCs, the easiest way to take her out is to use the Space Station and use the Crater Maker to quickly dispose of her, as she won't move that frequently, allowing for an easy vanquish. Another quick way to defeat her is to use the All-Star and shoot her in the face. The fast rate of fire of the Football Cannon combined with the massive critical damage ensures that she dies quickly.
