Elastic Newspaper Zombie (弹性报纸僵尸[1][2]; pinyin: Tánxìng Bàozhǐ Jiāngshī) is a zombie in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2, first appearing in the Parallel Universe No. 42 secret realm, introduced in the v3.6.0 update.
He is a combination of Newspaper Zombie and Jester Zombie, absorbing 650 damage and dealing 200 damage per second when eating just like Newspaper Zombie, but instead of using a newspaper as an armor and going into berserk mode after the newspaper is broken, his newspaper now no longer breaks and instead acts as an unbreakable deflection shield, deflecting certain straight-shot projectiles. Additionally, he will never go into berserk mode, as his newspaper is unbreakable.
Unlike Jester Zombie, he can be attacked from behind without projectile deflection.

- He is promoted with a spinning phase similar to that of Jester Zombie's with his own color palette.[1][2] This phase, however, is not the case with the in-game iteration.
