Electric Heartbreak (电击钩吻; pinyin: Diànjī Gōu Wěn) is a plant in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2 introduced in the 3.5.6 update alongside Frost Rambutan.

Electric Heartbreak is a manual plant, in which the player has to tap or hold it and drag the crosshair on any tile of the lawn, which will make Electric Heartbreak launch a lightning needle on that tile. An electric wire will be formed between Electric Heartbreak itself and the lightning needle, which will cause electric damage on any zombie within the electric wire. Additionally, the lightning needle will constantly deal electric damage in a 3x3 area around it.

Electric Heartbreak can connect with other Electric Heartbreaks on the lawn, which upon doing so, will enhance the specific Electric Heartbreak's strength for the electric wire, visually making the electric wire orange or even red depending on how many other Electric Heartbreaks have been connected to the specific Electric Heartbreak.

Origins

Electric Heartbreak is based on the gelsemium elegans, a flower very common in Eastern Asia.

Electric Heartbreak is also the result of a collaboration with G4G (Game For Good).

When given Plant Food, Electric Heartbreak will launch electric wires all over the lawn and zap every zombie on the entire lawn.

If Electric Heartbreak is wearing its costume, the damage dealt will be increased by 50%.
