His primary weapon is the Fire Pea Cannon, which sets zombies on fire, dealing continuous damage. Along with the Fire Cactus, Fire Chomper, Fire Flower, BBQ Corn, and Fire Rose, he is one of the six fire-based variants on the plants side.
The Fire Pea is a flaming sensation, able to withstand the heat of being permanently on fire. Fire Pea is very popular in winter and saves money on his heating bill.
In-game description
Fire Pea ignites Zombies, dealing fire damage over time.
The primary weapon of the Fire Pea is called the Fire Pea Cannon. It deals 12 to 29 impact and critical damage based on distance and also deals the same amount of splash damage as the normal Peashooter which is 10. It will also deal 4 fire damage over time, but unlike the Toxic Pea, the only way to activate the fire effect is to damage the enemy.
Fire Pea launches a Chili Bean Bomb, which explodes after a short amount of time and deals 175 damage. It attracts all nearby Spawnable Zombies, making it a way to vanquish lots of zombies quickly.
An alternate ability of Chili Bean Bomb, Sombrero Bean Bomb launches a Chili Bean Bomb wearing a sombrero that has a longer fuse than the normal Chili Bean Bomb, but in return, gives off 250 damage and a bigger explosion radius.
An alternate ability of Pea Gatling. With the Retro Gatling, the Fire Pea roots itself into a special form of Pea Gatling. It has only 50 ammo and shoots slower but each ammo is stronger.

Dark Bean Bomb is an alternate ability for the Peashooter's Chili Bean Bomb. The player is able to have two beans in stock, however, they will deal less damage than the normal Chili Bean Bomb, at around 80 damage and they have a smaller radius. The time before detonation is 2 seconds, making it the fastest detonating bean bomb. It takes 35 seconds to recharge.
An alternate ability of Pea Gatling, which was sold in Rux's Bazaar by Rux as well as the Rux Bling Bundle 2 for 9.99$USD. The Bling Gatling is identical to the Retro Gatling except in appearance, sounds, ability icon, name and stickerbook description (same gameplay, different visuals).

Strategies
Fire Pea plays similar to the normal Peashooter, however what it lacks a large area of splash damage, it makes up with a damage-over-time fire effect, great for finishing off weakened foes. The base damage is relatively similar to the original Peashooter, albeit a bit weaker, but the fire makes up for it. The Fire Upgrade in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 increases this fire damage even more. This Peashooter is great for more accurate players, however hitting splash is still viable, like the base Peashooter.
