Flourish is a basic common plant trick card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes and a member of the
Mega-Grow class. It costs 3
to play, and its ability draws two cards. Its zombie counterpart is Fun-Dead Raiser.
Origins
It is based on the real meaning of flourish, which is to grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way. It might also be a reference to the Hearthstone card with a similar name and ability.
Its appearance may be a pun on "flower."

Strategies
With
Flourish is an okay card, and its effect is quite powerful in a vacuum, since card advantage is extremely valuable for any deck. However, it is rarely seen and is notably worse than Fun-Dead Raiser, for a variety of reasons.
While Fun-Dead raiser can sometimes overcome its passivity due to its Trick-centric class, Flourish is 3
for no immediate advantage, but is only usable with heroes that can rarely afford to not play a plant on turn 3. It is decent enough in particularly slow Chompzilla heal decks, but competes with 2nd-Best Taco of All Time and Cross-Pollination, and even then such passive cards are not particularly good in those decks.
You might be tempted to run Flourish alongside Dino-Roar cards such as Tricarrotops, since there aren't a lot of other options for card draw, but they will still be just as vulnerable to heavy removal cards like Rocket Science. However, it does synergize well enough with Apotatosaurus and even Aloesaurus, as they work best in the same slower-paced decks as Flourish.
Overall, there are worse cards then Flourish, but it is often too passive for the class it is in, and Plants generally have better things to do with 3
.
Against
Flourish is impossible to prevent, but very slow. Exploit the fact that it costs 3
by playing a Trick or by playing Zombies aggressively. If you happen to have Quickdraw Con Man on the field when this is played, you'll do 2 burn damage.
