History
Plants vs. Zombies
- Main article: Flower Pot (PvZ)
In the original Plants vs. Zombies game, as well as all Chinese spin-off games based on it, Flower Pot is the second plant obtained in the Roof area.
Flower Pots are a necessary plant to have for Roof levels, as there are no plants who can be planted on roof tiles without them. There are, however, plants that cannot be planted on Flower Pots, such as Spikeweed and Spikerock, as they can only attack when zombies walk over them, something that cannot be done when they are planted on Flower Pots.
Flower Pot receives more functionality in the Chinese spinoffs Plants vs. Zombies: Great Wall Edition and Plants vs. Zombies: Journey to the West, as both of the former's exclusive Great Wall Endless modes and most of the latter's exclusive areas contain several non-plantable tiles that require it.
Great Wall Edition also provides an exclusive redesign for Flower Pot. Changing its appearance from a terracotta pot, to one made of porcelain.
Plants vs. Zombies: All Stars (China only) (Archived content)

Flower Pot also makes a cameo appearance in Plants vs. Zombies: All Stars, appearing on the upgrade screen having which ever plant selected appearing on it.
This cameo is notable as it is the first time since the original Plants vs. Zombies that Flower Pot has made any sort of appearance in the franchise.
Plants vs. Zombies 2 (Chinese version) (China only)
- Main article: Flower Pot (PvZ2C)
Flower Pot's latest appearance is in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2 as a plant exclusive to the Memory Lane game mode where it appears only on Modern Roof levels.
Just like the first game, Flower Pot is used to place plants on roof tiles, but unlike in the first game, Flower Pot is not always necessary, as several flying plants are introduced to the game that don't require being planted on solid ground let alone Flower Pots.
