Strategies
With
Use this trick when the Plants are the most threatening, either about to deal a lot of damage to you, or completely wipe your field, you can use it to either stall for time or make all of your Zombies win their trades. However, don't waste it on turn one to prevent one card from hitting face, as it can be better used to prevent lethal later in the game.
If played correctly, this trick is a total game-changer, as it can be an easy way to ensure survival of extremely powerful Zombies and clear out all lanes, turning the tides completely.
An incredibly powerful usage of this card is to use it when Cryo-Yeti is on field, potentially boosting its stats up by an incredible amount. Combined with bouncing or removal, which Brain Freeze has reliable access to, Cryo-Yeti can potentially win you the game.
Being a pet trick, Zookeeper and Cat Lady will benefit from its use, which works especially if Brain Freeze is already running a pet deck.
Against
Just like all other Zombie tricks, there is no way to counter it on the turn it is played.
Plants that do bonus attacks like Repeater and Bananasaurus Rex, especially those that are on Coffee Grounds, are great Plants to counter with, given that the player decided to use them prior to the trick being used, as they will do a bonus attack after combat which thaws them, ultimately allowing them to attack at least once during combat if possible.
If the opponent plans to use this as an advantage to fill lanes with strong Zombies, use Plant tricks to destroy them. Brainana can be used to prevent its play completely for a turn and Forget-Me-Nuts can be used to delay it, especially on earlier turns.
