This game mode is not always available to be played in-game. It is only available sometimes. It is currently not available.

Get-Off-My-Lawn-A-Thon Part 1 is a Super Mix Mode in Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2. It is a variant of Turf Takeover featuring the classic zombie classes of Garden Warfare against the new plant classes in this game. The Speed Boost Craziness Crazy Setting is activated. Get-Off-My-Lawn-A-Thon Part 2 features the classes reversed.

Mechanics

This mode features the original zombie classes (Foot Soldier, Engineer, Scientist and All-Star) against the new plant classes (Citron, Rose and Kernel Corn) on Turf Takeover with the speed boost activated. As with all remaining events with limited classes, the player can play as any variant of the enabled classes, including legendary characters.

Description

Plants and Zombies are spawning! Join the new guard of Plants, or the old guard of Zombies in this epic generation war.

Strategies

This is often considered the most one-sided game mode in Garden Warfare 2 as the zombies generally dominate due to the presence of Scientist, who can chase down most of the plants and kill them with ease thanks to his shotgun-style weapon massively benefitting from the speed boost. Furthermore, he can heal himself and his teammates, giving the zombies an advantage as the plants lack a healer in this mode (with the exception of spawnables and Rose's Arcane Lotus). However, plants do still have some potential in this mode, with Kernel Corn having crowd control, especially if equipped with Bigger Better Butter. This also gives plants an edge for the final objective of Seeds of Time, especially at the very end, as the airstrikes are very effective in the closed-off point the zombies are forced in.

A skilled player can potentially dominate with Iron Citron, as he is able to two-shot Scientists (unless they have the Health Upgrade on), mitigate a considerable amount of damage due to his high health and his slower speed is essentially nullified with the speed boost. Commando Corn is also a good option for plants due to his splash damage.

Trivia

  • Wall-Nut Hills is not playable on this mode as the mode predates the addition of the map to the game, as well as the fact the gimmick would not work due to the map only allowing the classic classes.
