Blade-Wielding Hero (持刀大侠; pinyin: chídāo dàxiá) is a boss encountered in Kongfu World in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. The player fights him in Kongfu World - Ultimate Challenge.

Blade-Wielding Hero is a much tougher opponent than Gunpowder Devil, as he is capable of summoning more dangerous zombies, and he becomes a very formidable foe when he is low on health.

In English: Summons Kongfu Zombies, good at using swords and shields. Slash through the Sky from the Flying Fairy, it was the signature skill of the Blade-Wielding Hero, though it's now a flying zombie.

Overview

Blade-Wielding Hero absorbs 75000 damage and does not degrade.

Attacks

Blade-Wielding Hero will randomly perform one of the following actions:

• Summons zombies from the ground.
• Blocks incoming attacks with a shield.
• Smashes plants in front of it in a 2x2 area.
• Runs up to a plant, and smashes it with its sword. This kills plants in a 1x2 area.
• Smashes his sword on the ground, moving the plants on the lane he smashes two tiles to the left. Plants on the leftmost columns will be thrown off the lawn.
• Jumps to the sky and flies through a lane, destroying all the plants on the lane by knocking them off the lawn. This attack cannot be prevented by any means. The lane he attacks will be warned by turning red.

Strategies

This is a powerful zombie because he can wipe out an entire lane of plants, can kill plants in one hit with his sword, and can summon really dangerous zombies. The best way of defeating this boss is by having a vast majority of Sunflowers so you will be able to get more plants onto the lawn.

Trivia

• He is stronger than any boss from the international version with more than four times the health of Zombot Sphinx-inator and far ahead of Zombot Tomorrow-tron.
• The lane-clearing attack can also kill plants fed with Plant Food.
  • He, Digger Zombie, Onmyoji Zombie, and Zombot Multi-stage Masher are the only zombies that can kill plants fed with Plant Food.
• He takes up a space of six tiles (3x2).
• He is one of the only bosses in the series that is not a robot.
• He and Gunpowder Devil are currently the only bosses in the game to be affected by Imp Pear regardless of their current level. In this case, Imp Pear does enough damage to remove a bar off their health.
