Lunisolar Honeysuckle (日月金银花; pinyin: Rì​yuè Jīn​yín​huā) is a plant in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2 introduced in the 3.5.4 update alongside Rhubarbarian and Aqua Vine. Lunisolar Honeysuckle can be toggled between the two different flowers, flipping which flower is in front and behind. Each flower has its own method of attack, and after attacking for a certain amount of time, the flower in front will rest and the flower behind will attack in its stead.

Lunar Honeysuckle (月亮金银花; pinyin: Yuè​liang Jīn​yín​huā): Lunar Honeysuckle summons a homing ice moon projectile; this projectile damages and freezes the closest zombie to the house. After damaging a zombie, the ice moon will release a large amount of chilling stars which scatter in a parabola.

Solar Honeysuckle (太阳金银花; pinyin: Tài​yang Jīn​yín​huā): Solar Honeysuckle summons a traveling fire sun projectile; this projectile damages the first zombie it encounters and explodes in a 3x3 area. After damaging a zombie, the fire sun will release a large amount of burning stars which scatter in a burst.

Origins

As their name entails, Lunisolar Honeysuckle is based on the honeysuckle, an all encompassing name for flowers in the genus Lonicera.

When given Plant Food, both flowers of Lunisolar Honeysuckle will summon their respective projectiles which will travel a short distance ahead before combining and exploding, dealing extreme damage in a 5x5 area.

If Lunisolar Honeysuckle is wearing their costume, the explosion will unleash a large amount of scattering stars.
