The Maypop line (番莲系; pinyin: fān lián xì) was a Class S Brave plant line in Plants vs. Zombies: All Stars which was introduced in the 1.0.105 update.

The line consists of Maypop Apprentice (番莲实习生; pinyin: fān lián shíxísheng), Maypop Researcher (番莲研究员; pinyin: fān lián yánjiūyuán), and Maypop Mechanic (番莲工程师; pinyin: fān lián gōngchéngshī). They all attack by throwing high-speed rotating gears and target enemies on the field that aren't affecred by gears.

Origins

All members on the Maypop line were based on the Maypop Mechanic from the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2, albeit in different colors and appearances.

The middle evolution shared the exact same appearance as Maypop Mechanic, and the final evolution shared its name.

Abilities

Abilities were unlocked by tiering up, while their effect is increased through star leveling.

Note: 10(+5)% means that at LV1 this ability had a 10% on LV1, 15% on LV2 and so on.

2	Toxic Calculations [Passive]	Each gear spininng on poisoned or bleeding target generates additional wrath.
3	Lucky Hit [Passive]	All attacks on enemies with three gears on them are critical.

Star leveling

After unlocking the Maypop line, additional puzzle pieces could be used to upgrade it, which increases its stats and ability LVs.
