Parallel Universe No. 41
Parallel Universe No. 41 (41号平行宇宙[1]; pinyin: 41 Hào Píngxíng Yǔzhòu) is the 17th Secret Realm released in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2, introduced in the v3.6.7 update alongside Guard-shroom. This Secret Realm takes place in a parallel and alternate universe, numbered as the 41st universe, and is a sequel to Parallel Universe No. 42.
The plants and Artifacts the player owns no longer play a role in this secret realm, as there are alternate versions of some plants which some can be exclusively used in this secret realm, while others both in here and the Parallel Universe No. 42 secret realm only, which the said rule applies to every player. The player will additionally fight against alternate versions of several zombies, some of which became the opposite of their original counterpart, while some others have switched roles with another zombie, and some being more miscellaneously changed. Zombies featured in this secret realm are also from Parallel Universe No. 42, with the exception of Fat Weasel.
The player can obtain advanced coins upon beating a level, and regular coins upon re-beating a level, with a limit of 600 regular coins per day (previously 500 in Parallel Universe No. 42). Advanced coins can be used to exchange general rewards that will benefit the player outside this secret realm, while regular coins can be used to exchange upgrades that will benefit the player for this secret realm.
This secret realm combines the plants of Parallel Universe No. 42 with its own No. 41 plants. The player has a portion of the plants initially unlocked since the first day, namely No. 42 Sunflower, No. 42 Peashooter, No. 42 Wall-nut, No. 42 Potato Mine, No. 42 Chomper, No. 42 Cherry Bomb, No. 42 Iceberg Lettuce, No. 42 Bonk Choy, while being able to purchase the rest of the No. 42 plants and No. 41 plants of this secret realm through its Secret Shop, namely No. 42 Moonflower, No. 42 Shadow-shroom, No. 42 Grimrose, No. 42 Nightshade, No. 42 Dusk Lobber, No. 42 Shadow Peashooter, No. 42 Shadow Vanilla, No. 42 Primal Sunflower, No. 42 Primal Peashooter, No. 42 Primal Wall-nut, No. 42 Primal Potato Mine, No. 42 Pumpkin, No. 42 Cattail, No. 42 Kernel-pult, No. 42 Cob Cannon, No. 41 Spikeweed, No. 41 Split Pea, and No. 41 Winter Melon. Additionally, several plants as well as few zombies from Parallel Universe No. 42 have been re-balanced for this secret realm.
Sun will fall normally in the levels of the Normal Mode and the Endless Level, but will not fall at all in the levels of Hard Mode.

Trivia
- The number of this universe (41) is as such due to it explicitly being an April Fools event (4月1日), with 4 being the fourth month (April), and 1 being the first day (April Fools' Day).
- The OST used in this secret realm is a re-arranged version of Parallel Universe No. 42's OST.
- The lawn used for this secret realm has a combination of elements from the Plants vs. Zombies Heroes lawn, Lawn of Doom lawn, Luck O' the Zombie lawn, Children's Day lawn, Birthdayz lawn, and Neon Mixtape Tour teaser lawn.
- Reverse Ra Zombie, Reverse Mino Zombie and Fat Weasel are the only zombies from Parallel Universe No. 42 to not be featured in this secret realm.
- The former two, however, do appear in the Endless level of this secret realm.
- This secret realm and Parallel Universe No. 42 both share the same event icon, despite this secret realm not featuring Tough Dave nor Handsome Zomboss.
- The names of every level in this secret realm (other than the Endless level's name) are either intentionally misinformative or making an odd reference.
- There are several references in the names of each level:
- Level 1 (Normal) - "You win by letting the Zombies in your house" is a reference to the help note in the original game.
- Level 6 (Normal) - "Typing "mustache" brings surprising changes to the zombies" is a reference to the "mustache" code in the original game.
- Level 2 (Hard) - "A zombie will choke to death by letting it eat 30 Wall-nuts" is a reference to the rare death of a zombie by eating a Wall-nut in the console editions of Plants vs. Zombies.
- Level 6 (Hard) - "The new world will be based on Atlantis" is a reference to the currently upcoming 17th world in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2, stating that it will be based on the scrapped Atlantis World which was scrapped in favour of Heian Age.
- Whether the fact that it will be based on Atlantis is serious or an April Fools joke is currently unknown.
- Additionally, some levels were also planned to have different names prior to the release of the v3.6.7 update:
- Level 4 (Hard) - "Players who pass this level implicitly agree to stop using Primal Peashooter." was originally going to be "通过这关的玩家默认同意取消植物探险功能" ("Players who pass this level implicitly agree to cancel the Plant Adventures function"'), referencing the important game feature in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2, the Plant Adventures.
- Level 6 (Hard) - "The new world will be based on Atlantis" was originally going to be "新世界将以"摧毁伞"公司为背景" ("The new world will be based on the "Umbrella Corporation""), referencing the Umbrella Corporation from Resident Evil, a Japanese horror game series and media franchise by Capcom Co., Ltd.
- It is unknown as to whether this was changed to Atlantis for feared possible copyright or for no important reason.
- There are several references in the names of each level:
