From Plants vs. Zombies Wiki
Shamrocket is an event trick plant card in Plants vs. Zombies Heroes and a member of the Guardian class. It costs 3 to play, and its ability instantly destroys a zombie with 4 or more. Its zombie counterpart is Rocket Science.
Shamrocket was introduced in update 1.12.6, along with Spyris, Electric Blueberry, Plucky Clover, Leprechaun Imp, and Bonus Track Buckethead. It is now craftable as of update 1.16.10.
It became available on the Zombie's Luck Weekly Event and was available from March 22th, 2017, to March 28th, 2017, and was also available in an Early Access Pack from March 7th, 2017, through March 14th, 2017.
Origins
It is based on a shamrock, a young spring of a clover used as the symbol of Ireland; a conifer cone, commonly known as the pine cone, a seed-bearing organ on gymnosperm plants; and a rocket, a missile, spacecraft, aircraft, or other vehicle that obtains thrust from a rocket engine.
Its description is a reference to the idiom "the bigger they are, the harder they fall."

Strategies
With
Shamrocket is a great card for removing high-strength threats. The turn order means it can't be used on zombies that were boosted through tricks, so you must survive until the next turn, although it does have its uses for eliminating a potentially threatening zombie before your opponent could boost them with tricks. Its inability to deal with Gravestones is less of an issue, as the Guardian class does have options covering that.
Generally, you can also aim to destroy powerful zombies with Shamrocket like Zombot 1000, Nurse Gargantuar, Wizard Gargantuar, and other zombies that have more than 4 strength. However, since you can only have four in a deck, only use them on zombies that will cause you a lot of trouble.
Shamrocket also serves as an alternative to Doom-Shroom. While Doom-Shroom is able to destroy any number of Zombies that has 4 strength or more, Shamrocket doesn't affect your plants, with its lower cost giving it versatility.
Against
Be careful when facing a Guardian hero, as if you simply play a generic high-strength zombie, Shamrocket can be used to destroy it. The hero that you should be most cautious of is Wall-Knight, since he can pair it up with Whack-a-Zombie to eliminate weaker threats as well.
It is difficult to anticipate if your opponent has this card, and therefore, it can be hard to counter. While it can't affect Gravestone zombies on the turn they are played, the Guardian class has an abundance of anti-Gravestone options like Grave Buster and Blockbuster.
You can also play lots of zombies with 3 strength or less, rendering Shamrocket unusable, though this will still hinder your gameplan and give your opponent an opportunity to overwhelm you. If you want to avoid Shamrocket destroying zombies, you can use Teleport or Teleportation Zombie to play it in the Zombie Tricks phase, use Parasol Zombie to make them Untrickale, or delay it with Defensive End.
