Strong Cauliflower (大力花菜; pinyin: dàlì huācài) was a plant in Plants vs. Zombies: Endless Edition. He picked up zombies using a suplex when they got close and threw them onto the ground a few squares in front of him. He then has to recharge.

His special attack is where he throws a zombie off-screen after his suplex. Unlike plants like Blover, this attack does not instantly kill the zombie: it instead returns back into the lawn after ten seconds.

Origins

Strong Cauliflower is based on the plant of the same name in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2.

His appearance is based on cauliflower, an annual plant that reproduces by seed and 1 of several vegetable cultivars of the wild cabbage (Brassica oleracea) in the genus Brassica, which is in the family Brassicaceae.

Strategies

Strong Cauliflower is an excellent plant for the early-game, despite his high cost and remarkably slow recharge for a stalling plant. His ability to grab zombies, deal damage, and then throw them a few squares back puts the zombie in an infinite loop in which they are incapable of attacking until the zombie is killed. The recharge time that occurs after attacking isn't an issue here: the time it takes for the zombie to reach Strong Cauliflower again after being attacked matches the recharge.

However, due to Strong Cauliflower being able to attack only one zombie at a time, he fares poorly against swarms and will likely be eaten. If keeping Strong Cauliflower on the field is still desired for some reason, it is recommended to pair him with plants that can attack multiple zombies, such as Laser Bean.
