Yeah, that is true. But let me ask a question. In comparacent to the second game, how slow is the original? What I am saying is recharges, plants and zombies were all slower (zombie spawn too) so the slow recharge wasn't the biggest problem. Just as a sidenote, I don't think it was created to even be used outside of survivals, just like Twin Sunflower. Or Gold Magnet. Or basically any other upgrade. Btw, Gloom-shroom deals 4 NDS every 1.5 sec and Phat Beet does ~5.25 every 5 sec, so it isn't as useful as the original Gloom-shroom. Even less if we take the increased zombie movement speed into our calculations. Gloom-shroom was able to kill a regular zombie on the lane it was on, Phat Beet isn't.
