Watch this video to see the things I talk about.
1) I notice that under each character picture, it says x5. Perhaps this is a lives system, or mabye a multiplier? Most likely a lives system.
2) From some of the ability pictures, I can predict what most do. On the peashooter's, he has the chilli bean of course, and his rooted ability, the Gatling Pea. But the one furthest to the right is currently unknown, but it looks like a sprint ability, mabye. Currently that's all I can figure out. I will update this later.
3) One of the chompers abilities is a purple blob. Perhaps this is a projectile, but a short range one?

The Sprint ability is named "Hyper", you get extra speed and a jump boost for an amount of time. That's the most I know ^.^
This was very early when this video is all we had. We didn't know the name of that ability but we know now. Thanks for the info anyways!
