There's also a boss battle. It has been finished but I'm helping to fix some problems regarding that. (spoiler: it has meteorites raining down your plants)

The expansions are good, it's just the new things they crank out can be HORRIBLE. And I feel like Popcap will have more professional freedom than your friend as they are decently skilled in programming, just lazy...And sad. But looks hectic from what I've seen.
