Am I the only one who didn't have that hard a time with Multi-stage Masher? I beat it on my second try, and third try when I recorded my fight with it for my (shameless self-promotion alert) NMT walkthrough. I definitely found the Dark Dragon and Aerostatic Gondola much harder.

Seems you are the 1%. I can definately say both are easier, because it's easy to work out a strategy for them. I use 1 row Kernel-pult, 2 rows of Fume-shroom and 1 row Pea-nut. It is easy to keep up. For the Gondola, try placing one A. K. E. E. and one Red Stinger in each lane, and a single Bonk Choy with an Endurian in front of the rightmost boulder tile. If you have too much seeds coming up, just spam A. K. E. E.-s, they are the most common plants and are disposable in this sence. But there is no good strategyfor the Masher as far as I know that can be kept up because the surroundings change too much, so you oughta have 6 different strategies.
