I think the PLANTS should have genders, at least some. Why would it be any different comparing the PVZH occurance, with the PVZ2 occurance (Sunshroom) with PVZGW? All of them have almost the same characters, all of them have the same need. Gender Neutrality.
Garden Warfare sunflowers don't produce sun.
