Level 01, Backyard was the first level of Neighborville in Plants vs. Zombies 3 and the first level overall. This level introduced the player to Peashooter.

Dialogue

Crazy Dave: Giant jumping squirbos! There's a zombie on your lawn!
Peashooter: Don't worry! I've got this.
(Crazy Dave and Peashooter leave)
*Peashooter gets eaten*
(Wall-Nut appears)
Wall-Nut: Get behind me Peashooter! I'll protect you.
(Wall-Nut leaves)
Uh oh! We need more Sun to plant Peashooter.
Tap or drag to collect Sun.
Spend Sun to place plants.
Watch the tracker to see when huge waves of zombies are coming.
Defeat all zombies to win!

Difficulty

• With only one lane of zombies, just a few Peashooters are needed to finish the entire level.

The small number next to the zombie icon means that zombie will always appear in that lane, with 1 being the topmost lane and 5 being the bottommost lane.

Strategies

This level is pretty straightforward and easy, only having two zombies. Simply following the tutorial and having at least two Peashooters is enough to finish it.
