muscle sprout really doesn't have to be nerfed, but I definitely won't say that this card is any good. although, weenie beanies are useful if you're using admiral navy beans, which if you're running this card, you'd most likely be playing a bean deck anyway.
In terms of which class is better, you can't really compare them pairwise that way. I've fallen out with the meta, but I'm pretty sure that you are right in that smarty is a weaker class in general in the current meta.
