Primal plants needed much better names at least. "Ugg-Nut" would've been lol. But yeah, they're still just the basic plants with a few differences.
Tangle Kelp is very useful in its world and looks awesome. Guacodile is actually great with Magnifying Grass and in NMT (he's the anti-specialist zombie choice there). Garlic while not amazing is at least fun to try new strategies with and is not just another variant on the basic plants.
