Lost Guide Zombie finding tunnel.png

Tunnels are a gimmick and environment modifier in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. They are summoned by Lost Guide Zombie when he reaches the 7th column, and end at the 4th column on the lawn. Tunnels quickly teleport zombies of any size, even Gargantuars from the entrance to the exit. They can, however, be instantly blocked, and after several seconds, destroyed prematurely by Jackfruit. Zombies trapped inside blocked tunnels will also be destroyed when they disappear. Plants cannot be planted on the tunnel entrance and exit, although tunnels can spawn under plants on the lawn.

Trivia

  • Transportational sewers and tunnels share the same function to teleport zombies but have some differences.
    • Tunnels can only be summoned by Lost Guide Zombie and disappear on their own after a set time limit, regardless of whether Jackfruit is used. On the other hand, transportational sewers are already on the lawn at the start of the level and are permanent.
    • A tunnel's start and exit will always be at the 7th and 4th column of a lane, respectively. A sewer's entrance and exit depends on their positions on the lawn, but the entrance will always be closer to the zombies.
