Howdy neighbors!

You might have heard that I voted for Crazy Dave in the Super Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot. Here's my moveset for him!

Ground Attacks

Normal

  • Neutral Attack: Crazy Dave punches forward.
  • Neutral Combo: Crazy Dave throws a bunch of punches ending with him whacking his opponent with a shovel.
  • Dash Attack: Crazy Dave rolls forward on a tiny Cob Cannon.
  • Side Tilt: Crazy Dave swings his shovel.
  • Up Tilt: Crazy Dave hits opponents upward with his shovel.
  • Down Tilt: Crazy Dave pulls out a Chomper which bites repeatedly.

Smash

  • Side Smash: Crazy Dave swings his saucepan.
  • Up Smash: Crazy Dave will summon a Rotobaga which will fly above him for a few seconds before dissappearing.
  • Down Smash: Crazy Dave pulls out his Magic Taco and sparks will fly out on both sides of him.

Special Moves

Standard Special: Green Forces

When activated, Crazy Dave will cycle through some seed packets. Pressing the Special Move button again will make him plant whatever seed has been selected. If Dave is attacked, the move will be cancelled. Up to 2 plants can be active at one time.

The seeds are:

  • Peashooter: Will shoot any opponents that get too close to it.
  • Bonk Choy: Punches any enemies that get near and will do quite a bit of knockback.
  • Spikeweed: When stepped on, it will grab an enemy and prevent them from moving, like in Garden Warfare. Repeatedly mash buttons to break free.
  • Potato Mine: Simply explodes once stepped on.

Side Special: Wall-Nut Bowling

Crazy Dave will throw a Wall-nut forward, damaging anyone who gets in it's path. If one simply touches it, they will be knocked back. If one is directly hit by it, they will be dragged along with the Wall-nut.

Up Special: Garlic Drone

Crazy Dave will hold on to a Garlic Drone which will carry him up in the air for a short time. Press the standard attack button to make the Garlic Drone shoot a powerful needle in whatever direction Dave is facing.

Down Special: Grave Danger

Crazy Dave will raise up a zombie that will fight for him. The zombie is very easy to KO, however. Similar to Wario Waft, the longer Crazy Dave goes without using this move, the stronger the zombie gets and the harder it is to defeat.

The zombies in order from weakest to strongest:

  • Imp
  • Basic Zombie
  • Conehead Zombie
  • Buckethead Zombie
  • Gargantuar

Final Smash: It's About Time

Once Crazy Dave aquires a Smash Ball, his Final Smash begins with his face with a text bubbles (similar to how he announces stuff to the plants in Garden Warfare) shouting "LET'S GET CRAAAZY!" and then he proceeds to hop aboard Penny.

Penny is controlled similar to the Landmaster (Fox and Falco's Final Smash). However, Penny moves slower, can only jump once, lasts slightly longer, and cannot roll to damage opponents on top of her. Her attacks are as follows:

  • Ram: Simply touch enemies with Penny to damage them.
  • Cherry Bombs: Press the standard attack button to throw a pair of Cherry Bombs, one in front of you and one behind you, which will quickly land on the ground and explode.
  • Charge: Press the special attack button to dash forward and knockback anyone hit by your front bumper.

After Penny's timer runs out, Crazy Dave will eject from her and drop a Doom-shroom that will greatly damage all opponents that get too close to Penny, and the Final Smash ends.

Misc. Information

Entrance

Crazy Dave drives onto the stage using his car from the first Plants vs. Zombies game and then jumps out as it dissappears.

Taunts

  • Up Taunt: Crazy Dave screams, and his saucepan flies up into the air and then lands back on his head.
  • Side Taunt: Crazy Dave pulls out a taco and eats it.
  • Down Taunt: TBA
