Damage Calculation Theory

This started from the Zombotany mini-game. Assuming the Peas from Peashooter Zombies do the same amount of damage as Peas from Peashooters, this is what I speculate (I will use HP as amount of damage one can take before dying):

  • Most plants, except Wall-nuts and the like, have 16 HP.
  • Regular zombies have 10 HP.

By further guessing:

  • Bites from most zombies inflict 3 damage.
  • The bites from the Digger Zombie and Imp inflict 5 damage.
  • Peas, Spores, Fumes, Stars, Spikes, and Kernels inflict 1 damage.
  • Cabbages and Butter inflict 2 damage.
  • Wall-nuts and Pumpkins have 216 HP.
  • Lily Pads and Flower Pots have 18 HP.
  • Tall-nuts have 432 HP.
  • Garlics have 63 HP, but take 12 damage from basketballs.
  • Instant-kill plants (and the Garden Rake, and the Corn Cob) inflict 75 damage.
  • Basketballs inflict 3 damage. (20 ammo)
  • Melons (Winter and regular) inflict 4 damage, and 2 damage on adjacent squares.

Obvious facts:

  • Cones have 18 HP.
  • Buckets and Screen Doors have 55 HP.
  • Newspapers have 8 HP.
  • Football Helmets have 70 HP.
  • The Dancing Zombie, Dolphin Rider Zombie, Jack-In-The-Box Zombie, Pogo Zombie, and Ladder Zombie have 17 HP.
  • The Zomboni and Zombie Yeti have 75 HP.
  • Digger helmets have 5 HP.
  • Pogo Sticks have 7 HP.
  • Ladders have 25 HP.
  • Catapult Zombie has 34 HP.
  • Gargantuars have 150 HP (Imps 6 or 3 HP).
  • Giga-Gargantuars have 225 HP (Giga-Imps 9 HP).
  • The Zombot has 20572 HP (41144 at his mini-game).
  • Tall-nut Zombies take 150 damage when hit by a Corn Cob.

-Fumes entering Gloom-shrooms will make the plant double its firing rate.-
