Yes. I know EA is against the Wii U but what if EA and Popcap did like Nintendo and released the Wii U Versions along with Guest costumes: 

mario hats for plants and zombies respectively. Nintendo easter eggs,  nintendo guest characters: piranha plants (AS non-playable character because they already have chompers), Mushrooms from Super Mario Bros universe (as non-playable characters because there are too many mushrooms in PVZ universe).

I ran out of guest ideas because I don't know how to put some characters that would be appropriate for PVZ universe but i'm no mario fan through.

Conclusion

While not a good idea for EA and Nintendo to team up because Nintendo would take down some videos that contained the Wii U Version on YouTube. Sony and EA partnership could been better through because PlayStation is good for PVZ but not much for the rest of EA Franchises except for Sport games.
