Please note:

• This is a strategy for early levels, and will probably not work later on.
• This strategy doesn't tangle with . I make sure  never appears.
• No Premiums or Gemiums are used
• Each column is ranked from the left. So 1st column is closest to house, 9th column is furthest from house.

Plants: 

  

Reasons:

• : For sun production. You can switch to  if you want, but this plant is recommended due to fast zombie attacks.
• : Provides an early attack for the first few zombies; takes care of 3 lanes in levels with early attacks.
• : Early defenses and for quick planting later on. will take longer to smash.
• : Charm Dinos.If working with , use  instead.
• : To take out mass zombie hoards; Damage for . Can be replaced with stalling plants
• : Pushes back zombies for more time.
• : Mass damage and slowdown!!!!!!

Level:

First, start planting 's in the 2 columns close to the house. Next is Plant Food use. If the level has 1 flag, use 1 Plant Food. If the level has 2-4, use 2. This is because levels with 3-4 flags, you can utilize extra Plant Food given in the level. When the first zombie appears, don't try to kill it yet. Wait. You should have at least 5 's by now. At this point, place down a . After that, start planting 's on the 7th. When the next zombie appears, if the lane doesn't have a , place down another . If there is one, place down a . Placing more 's on the 3rd column is the next step, as well as the 4th column and 5th column. When 10 's are placed, start planting more on the 6th column. When all 5 's are done, start planting more 's on the 8th column. Replace the ones on the 7th column with more 's, and the 's on the 6th column with 's. Do this same process with the 9th column, and the respective columns. Finally, plant 's on the 2nd column, then the 1st. Additionally, replace the rest of the 's with 's., if you have enough time.

The lawn should look like this in all rows when all 's are gone:

Additionally, you can plant another row of 's on the 8th column and/or 7th for extra protection.

Another strategy:

Basically, the strategy is similar to the strategy above, except the lawn should look like this in all lanes when finished:

Notes:

• Use  on the first dino, especially if it's a .
• Replant  when eaten
• If a  manages to bring a zombie to the back, simply dig the plants up and replace them with a  and 
• For early ambushes, especially with , use a combination of 's and 's, as well as one or 2 's. After that, follow the strategy accordingly.
• Use  for big hoards and 's.
• If there are 's, consider replacing the 's on the 3rd column with , so you don't need to replant any  on that row due to a thrown 
• Use to stall the first few zombies
