I enjoy playing Last Stand, so I decided to take a screenshot and make a puzzle out of it. Do you have what it takes to solve it?

The picture you see is the 4 Plant strategy in progress; only 2 flags have been played so far. During the second flag, there were 2 Dolphin Riders in the same row, and a Lily Pad and Squash were planted to kill them. Also, out of the total sun jackpot from the end-of-flag bonus, 3 units of sun have NOT been picked up. So the big question is, how much sun should I have at this point?

To make this a bit more challenging, I’ve blocked out the sun costs on the seed packets, so you have some homework to do if you don’t have them memorized.

Please leave your answers and any additional comments below. I will post the answer one week from the set posting date, so be sure to check back.

For future reference, later puzzles will be named slightly different to prevent confusion with the iOS Last Stand puzzles.

Now for what you're really here for: the answer. But instead of being direct, allow me to work the math out for you.

Lily Pads are 25, Repeaters are 200, Gatling Peas are 250, and Torchwoods are 175. The cost of the full setup is 5100 sun. Since you initially get 5000, you need to complete flag 1 in order to have all 6 Repeaters in the middle column. Each flag gives you 250 sun, so after collecting it and finishing setup, you should have 150 sun.

A Squash costs 50 sun, so with a Lily Pad, you deduct 75 sun, which cuts sun directly in half. Since flag bonuses are 250 sun and each unit is 25, there should be 10 units per flag. 3 units, equaling 75 sun, is not collected, so you pick up 7, 175 sun. Adding that to your current sun, you should have 250. If you need proof, test it.

I'm already in the process of another puzzle, so stay tuned...
