I've got another puzzle for you. Ready?
I had a specific strategy in mind, but I needed to hack sun to plant it. Just for the heck of it, I also gave myself more sun than I really needed. Nothing has been replanted and no instant kills have been used. Half of the end-of-flag bonus remains untouched. Based on what you see, how much sun did I start with?

I didn't just give mysefl the needed sun to plant this. I gave myself some extra I didn't actually need. So to find initial sun count, there are 2 parts to solve.
First, setup cost. A Repeater/Gatling Pea combo costs 450 sun. Taking the pool into consideration, we have 6 spaces per column to fill. 6 sets is 2700. Adding in the Lily Pads bumps it to 2750. 3 columns is 8250, part 1 of the puzzle.
Part 2 is a little more complex. We need to see how much extra sun I gave myself. Flag completion bonus is 250, and completing 2 flags is 500. I picked up half the bonus from flag 3. 250/2=125, We now should have a total of 625. The counter includes the excess along with that, and we have 700 shown. 700-625=75, our "unnecessary sun.
Now we simply combine. 8250 setup and our 75 extra. 8250+75=8325.
I would like to do more puzzles like this, but it seems my rather large gap ruined their reputation. If I can get enough votes on a separate blog, I may consider adding more.
