Diamond Gnome
Diamond Gnomes are special collectible items in the three free roam areas of Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville. There are three Diamond Gnomes in each region, making for a grand total of nine in the entire game. If the player manages to find all three Diamond Gnomes in a region, they may enter the Gnome Shrine and fight one of three Gnome Gnights, depending on the free roam area they are in.
Collecting a Diamond Gnome grants the player 1000 XP.

Trivia
- The victory music from the original Plants vs. Zombies plays when a Diamond Gnome puzzle is completed.
- Most of the Gnomes require you to use the main device of the region (i.e the Boombox in Weirding Woods and the Harmonica in Mount Steep) to get to them. The exceptions are the parkour gnome in Town Center and the puzzle gnome in Weirding Woods.
- The Mount Steep puzzle is reused for the Sir Boff boss fight, making it the only one to reuse ideas from the puzzles.
- The water in the water puzzle in Town Center is nearly opaque in the Nintendo Switch version, making it a harder puzzle to complete.
