How to take pics from games?

I was wondering, could someone teach me to take pictures out of games. That way i could make all the imitations. Pufflesrcute 06:24, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

On laptops and some computers there are keyboard buttons for taking screenshots. They can be pasted into Microsof Paint or another image editing program so that the extraneous parts of the image can be removed. --^Swampert_rox 18:11, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

Hi there! If you're playing the game on your computer it is as simple as pressing the "Print Screen" key (Print Scrn) which is located next to the F12 key. Block

You should add a Block, so that others cannot edit!

No. Firstly, it's called protection. Secondly, don't capitalize "block". Thirdly, we don't protect for a single infraction. If we did, we would probably have to protect about half the pages on this wiki.--RandomguY 01:33, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Badges

Hello, I have my own wiki and how can I get badges on my wiki?

I'm wondering if there is a list of badges that we could see so we could easily get badges. You mostly get badges by editing things.Traincraz7 00:27, December 9, 2010 (UTC)

I am personally against this for three reasons. Firstly, badges were invented to promote contributions, and are more effective if the goals are unknown, so that you contribute as much as possible just in case there's a badge for contributing X. Secondly, imho not knowing what the goals are will probably increase the fun of getting badges (although personally, I don't care that much). Thirdly and lastly, we have unfortunately experienced spammers, where they made a ton of pointless edits to get the "edit 9999999 times" badge, or made useless blog posts/comments to get the "you made a blog post" or "you commented on a blog" badges. This is irritating for tracking and maintenance reasons, as well as for those who legitimately deserve badges for long-time contributing. If we have spammers, they most likely "contributed" more than the legitimate contributors, and therefore will utterly defeat them in terms of high score tables and so on.--RandomguY 01:28, December 9, 2010 (UTC)

Adding the "games" section on the main page

Hey, just so no one freaks out, I'm saying this here. I wanted to add a section that talked more in depth on the various game modes and levels. I added a pictured link to the main page, but I don't know the formatting for the original two images, plus, I don't have proper image editing software at work. It's a start. Featured Article

I have changed the Main Page's featured article, as it has been there for too long!! I clicked "Random Page" and I got Cattail's article, so that is what I chose :D I don't mind if someone disagrees with it, the change can be undone. Just thought it would be nice :3

I chose Pink-ish color cause I thought it would match the Cattail's hat. If someone wants me to change it to a certain color let me know. HellPikachu 22:46, January 8, 2011 (UTC)

Alright, makes sense. Still, you should either change the border or change the fill. Changing the fill would make it more in-line with the featured video box, and changing the border would be more in-line with the page.--RandomguY 03:25, January 9, 2011 (UTC)

Okay, I changed the border to be the same as the featured video. Made the background color more "serious" and I think looks okay with the featured video's green while mainting a difference between them. Famous article

I don't particularly agree with this type of article, as what its based on? Famous and Popular, to my knowledge, is mainly the same thing here. Besides that, having 3 "Featured" things in the main page is enough, and I'm including the featured video here. 4 is just too much and the Main page looks too crowded. There's usually only 1 featured article, but Drilly Drilly added the second one "2nd Featured Article" which I changed to "Popular Article". I was just explaining myself about Drilly Drilly adding a third article (without counting the video) called "Famous Article" featuring the Gatling Pea (check History) and why I deleted it. I didn't add the "Popular Article" either, Drilly Drilly did that too but I don't think it's too bad so I just left it alone.Gloom-shroom has quite high views so that's another reason It didn't bother me. Change Plant Hyperlink Colors Please

I've been having problems while traversing the wiki. Some of the plant hyperlinks are too bright to read against a white background. Try reading Sunflower or Garlic on white. What I am suggesting is to turn these hyperlink colors into a different one, like Orange for Sunflower, something that offers higher contrast against a white background. Thanks! i think plants vs zombies is a nice game. i got it from my friend i was playing on her computer and i found the game and that is when i downloaded it on my computer.

Intro Line

I may or may not be the first to suggest this, but isn't listing out every single device the game is on a bit ridiculous? Just simplify it by saying "A wiki and encyclopedia to the Plants vs. Zombies series, a tower defense video game series developed and published by PopCap Games for PC, Mac, Smartphones, Tablets, and Video Game Consoles." I don't want to be the one guy who suggests something obvious and then gets thrown out the window like in the Boardroom Conversation meme, I'm just saying, you really don't need an entire paragraph detailing every platform the game is on (at least when there are that many of them). Save it for the game's page.

While I'm at it, you have many different link colors on some of your pages, and it is hard to read them with the semi-transparent background, so I'd change that too.

La Brainsa Tarpits...a loser's game?

Is there a way to keep track of which dinosaurs need PerfumeShrooms when the screen becomes so crowded? I am struggling to identify which lanes need a PerfumeShroom while I am getting creamed by multiple Ankylosaurs, hearing layers of "rrrrr-ups!" And there go my power ups. Which is not great game play. Tedious gameplay. Not great gameplay.

I thought it was supposed to be fun! If I want torture I can go to Big Wave Beach.

I do like the new plants. Especially the sound on the Bombagranite. Silly sh*t! 😜 Also, who thought of the idea to have the Goldbloom randomly laugh? Very Good!

And the advanced page editor I will never be motivated to learn. I am old and my time is short.

Adding this week's event to the calendar

Hi, sorry if this doesn't go here but, will the calendar still be monthly, or should it be updated weekly? I mean, so someone includes that this week is Wasabi Whip's week (Plants vs. Zombies 2) and that Secret Agent trick (Plants vs. Zombies Heroes), just like past week with Garlic and the community event. I'd do that myself but I think the page is locked so only the staff can edit it.

a good wiki does come before social features but this is literally a port of the fandom wiki. i would understand if we literally had to build the whole place back up from scratch but we dont. everything from fandom is here. the good wiki part is already done. its back to our slow updates to pages for our dead franchise. why not work on social things?

Grimrose Broken?

Grimrose seems to be struggling these days, not even mentioning his lacking uses. Grimrose fails to target Gargs/Mechs, and takes forever to track a zombie behind him. Poor guy

Front page update needed

The front page has been stuck with Birthdayz & Maybee for months, I suggest that you make this up to date with the current stuff rather than stuff from April & May 2023. Even the fandom wiki is unironically more up to date. slightly aged statement regarding fandom wiki

"but this site [fandom] will no longer be updated." <--- guess this didn't age well a bit, as some of the fandom wiki's pages are still at least updated every once and awhile to be up to date to the fandom users.

A problem with videos

I was looking for a video of a level and saw that you can't actually access the videos like you used to do on Fandom, only the title of the video appears. We need some new way to show videos, or if not just not add them. - FloatingPeas 21:41, 17 December 2023

It's been a few months and it's stuck thinking it's feastivus and Cran Jelly's season, looks like it needs to be up to date again! Also, as much as most of us have a distaste for PvZ3, but it needs to be updated to have it's new subtitle/title "Welcome to Zomburbia".
