Thunderbolts are environmental modifiers in Sky City. They come in either positive or negative and a combination of these will weaken a plant in different ways. Ampthurium is immune to thunderbolts and will convert them into a large projectile that hurts a zombie. Any plant can get rid of of thunderbolts from itself by being fed Plant Food. They come right after the level warns you that "the ship will enter a stormy area".

Combinations

• Positive + Positive: Deals continuous damage to the plant.
• Negative + Negative: Stuns the plant.
• Positive + Negative: Slows the plant to a crawl.

Trivia

• A syringe affecting a plant is similar to the positive + negative combination of thunderbolts, except it wears out over time and cannot be instantly stopped by Plant Food.
