Hello there, and welcome to the first episode of the Card Complainer, where I get mad and talk about PvZH cards. In this first episode we're going to be talking about Pineclone.

(This plant was recently changed to become Legendary, which is sad. I thought I knew you, PopCap.)

Talking about Pineclone

Pineclone transforms all plants into more Pineclones. This can be neat in normal battles when you only have 1/1 plants on the board, but this also converts STRONGER plants as well. Suppose you have a Cornucopia on the board, and it summons absolutely beautiful plants...and one Pineclone. Watch as this game turns from collectible cards to horror as all of your plants, INCLUDING the one you just spent 10 SUN on, turn into Pineclones. And their ABILITIES change as well, which can be horrible sometimes if you're using a plant whose ability activates next turn, such as Sunflowers or Power Flowers. But hey, I need to talk about the good things for this plant. If a plant has Amphibious or Team-Up, it'll STAY like that. For example, let's say you use, uh... POPPIN' POPPIES. All of the Lil' Buddies that came out of that ability turn into 3/3, which means if those lanes are unblocked by anything, they can deal 12 DAMAGE in one turn. Also, they have 3 damage, which means they can't be destroyed by either Rocket Science OR Rolling Stone, which are both game-changers if you're playing weak or strong cards. (looking at you, Rustbolt)

These are where nightmares are created.

Strategies vs. Weaknesses

So, it's time for a part called Strategies vs. Weaknesses, where I talk about how you should use it, OR use things AGAINST it. Let's begin!

For the Plants

If you're using this, first you should use lots of plants with Team-Up. Then, you can have more Pineclones appear when T H E  H A P P E N I N G  happens. For example, use Shroom for TwoPair of Pears or the previously mentioned

This is what you should strive to have when you place Pineclone.

Poppin' Poppies (preferably Poppin' Poppies, as it summons three allies instead of one). Also use Laser Cattail, as you'll be able to use more plants in water lanes. Then, when your lawn is full (except for one spot), plant the Pineclone and watch the action. Even if Poppin' Poppies drops one ATK and HP, it'll be worth it, as your entire lawn will have become 3/3, which is a good boost. Also keep another water lane open so you can save up for Dark Matter Dragonfruit, who will keep the enemy from using the Chickening. Fruity, coney VENGEANCE indeed.

For the Zombies

Mushrooms and Peas won't have a chance.

If your opponent tries the strategy mentioned above, there are a few things you can do as a last resort. Zombot 1000 is a good choice, as it is not a trick, but will destroy all of the plants on screen. If your opponent DOESN'T use Dark Matter Dragonfruit, prepare for your Chickenings. These can take out Pineclones using only two of them, so they are a good choice if you want to take them out. Another option is to destroy their plants before they get transformed, so there will be less plants that they can use when they place the Pineclone.

What Would I Change?

This is a section where I discuss what I would change about Pineclone, if I had been in control of it. Here we go!

Sun Cost

I would make Pineclone cost 6 sun. This may seem jerk-ish to do, but it's for a good reason that I will discuss later in this part.

Attack and Health

I would make Pineclone deal 4 damage and have 4 health, so it seems a bit more worthy to be a high-ranked plant.

Rarity

I would make Pineclone change back into a Super-Rare plant, as I believe the new change to Legendary wasn't exactly necessary.

End

Welp, this is the end of the very first Card Complainer. Who will I review next time? Well, it will be...

Up to you! I'll let the commentors pick who arrives next into the Card Complainer! (Please only meta cards)
