Strategies
- Always use Primal Potato Mines wisely, as you only get one. That means once you plant it, the conveyor belt will give you no more Primal Potato Mines until it explodes. It is recommended that you use the Primal Potato Mines on the Gargantuars.
- This level can be extremely difficult to pass without the leveling of Puff-shroom, as it is a weak attack plant, and it only lasts for 60 seconds on level 1. Wall-nut should be leveled up as well, because of the abundance of machined zombies in this level, like Pyramid-Head Zombie. Try to keep at least 2 columns of Puff-shroom to maximize defenses.
- This level only gives you three Plant Food, so use them on the Puff-shrooms every time you get Plant Food; so they will have their timer reset and last longer, and every Puff-shroom on the field will activate.
Notes
Note 1: The might not appear due to lower levels of Dynamic Difficulty. Instead, Wave 6 would just have a instead.
Note 2: Sometimes the Sandstorm ambush comes with two extra s due to higher Dynamic Difficulty.

Difficulty
This level is practically impossible without the use of leveled-up plants, causing the player to lose immediately on the first flag, when the Pterodactyls come and drag tough zombies to the column where the Iceberg Lettuces are. ALWAYS USE PERFUME-SHROOM WISELY, as its recharge time is slow, so if you mistakenly use perfume-shroom even once, it could likely cause the loss of the level. The only way to beat this level is if you have Cherry Bomb upgraded to at least level 7, where it can kill Amberhead Zombies in one shot and recharges only 24 seconds. Also, Primal Potato Mine should be upgraded, too, so it takes less time to recharge. There are a lot of machined zombies in this level, mainly Amberhead Zombie, so using the Plant Food earned in the beginning of the level is mandantory. Also, upgrading high-damage attacking plants like Coconut Cannon, Winter Melon, or Electric Peashooter is a good idea, as well. Fortunately, the Gargantuars are not much of a problem, as they come in the final wave, and can be easily dealt with, although three explosions are required to kill each of them.
