User blog:KirbiMiroir/KirbiMiroir's Ideas for Cards

From Plants vs. Zombies Wiki

Hi, everyone! This is KirbiMiroir speaking, and I've come up with ideas for PVZ Heroes cards. I hope you like them!

This page will be updated with more plants and zombies over time, even though I am aware that not all of these ideas will make it to the game (I don't even know if ANY of them will). Thanks for your support!

Mega-Grow PvZH Mega-Grow Icon.png

The Mega-Grow class specialises in raising the stats of plants and using Bonus Attacks. Its representatives are Green Shadow, Chompzilla, Grass Knuckles and Captain Combustible.

Gatling Pea

  • Classification: Pea Plant
  • Stats: 5SunPvZH.png, 1StrengthPvZH.png, 5HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: After combat here, this does three Bonus Attacks.

I got this idea from the Espresso Fiesta card. Sure, he has below-average stats and is poor at dealing with Heroes, but with stat boosts (which Mega-Grow heroes specialise in), he can become almost unstoppable. Imagine landing four attacks for 4 or even 5 damage each! That would be great, wouldn't it?

Watering Can

  • Classification: Trick
  • Cost: 2SunPvZH.png
  • Function: A plant does a Bonus Attack.

Long story short, this is a more expensive, but less limited version of Time to Shine (which can also be used by Green Shadow and Chompzilla). Acting as a plant equivelant to Lurch for Lunch, I can see this being quite useful in the right situations (especially when you use it on Re-Peat Moss).

Bamboo Shoot

  • Classification: Leafy Plant(?)
  • Stats: 7SunPvZH.png, 4StrengthPvZH.png, 6HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: When played on Heights, deal 4 damage

Okay, I've been looking at the selection of Mega-Grow plants and noticed there aren't enough high-cost, high-power plants in the class. This leads to the Bamboo Shoot. This powerful plant is like the Foot Soldier Zombie in that he launches a small attack when you play him on heights, making him good for finishing a zombie who's giving you a hard time while dealing massive damage.

E.M. Peach

  • Classification: Fruit Plant
  • Stats: 3SunPvZH.png, 2StrengthPvZH.png, 2HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: When played, a plant does a Bonus Attack

This is essentially just an Electrician for the Plant Team, albeit without the element of surprise. Use him to get a powerful plant to land a crushing blow on the Zombie Hero, or to make it easier to defeat a bothersome zombie.

Makeshift Missile

  • Classification: Tree Trick
  • Cost: 3SunPvZH.png
  • Function: Destroy a plant with 4StrengthPvZH.png or more

This is basically Rocket Science for the plants. Use it on overpowered zombies to finish them off quickly! Chompzilla can combine this with Whack-a-Zombie to finish off both strong and weak zombies.

Smarty PvZH Smarty Icon.png

The Smarty class specialises in Bounce, PvZH Frozen Icon.pngFreeze, Amphibious and Splash Damage. Its representatives are Green Shadow, Nightcap, Citron and Rose.

Kernel-Pult

  • Classification: Corn Plant
  • Stats: 3SunPvZH.png, 2StrengthPvZH.png, 2HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: When this hurts a zombie, that zombie gets -1StrengthPvZH.png.

I can see the Kernel-Pult as a method to stall and weaken a zombie simultaneously. His stats are below average, but his ability lowers the Attack of zombies, making them less dangerous to your Hero.

Blover

  • Classification: Leafy Plant
  • Stats: 3SunPvZH.png, 1StrengthPvZH.png, 4HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: When a zombie gets bounced, destroy that zombie.

This card's attack is poor, but his ability not only destroys zombies effected by Whirlwind or Spring Bean, both of which are Smarty Tricks, but it makes defeating Kangaroo Riders a breeze as well. I can imagine this card as being very useful and even a bit game-changing.

Starfruit

  • Classification: Fruit Plant
  • Stats: 3SunPvZH.png, 2StrengthPvZH.png, 2HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: Splash Damage 2

This basic card is like a weaker Snapdragon with a bit more health, or a stronger Lightning Reed without Amphibious. When three weak zombies are giving you a hard time, this little guy can take care of all of the, at once.

Bug Spray

  • Classification: Trick
  • Cost: 2SunPvZH.png
  • Function: A plant cannot be hurt this turn.

This is basically a less limited but more expensive version of Root Wall that doesn't increase HeartPvZH.png. Grass Knuckles can't use this, but Green Shadow, Nightcap and Rose can, allowing for some tactical plays that can stall and eventually defeat powerful zombies.

Solar PvZH Solar Icon.png

The Solar Class specialises in sun production, healing, PvZH Strikethrough Icon.pngStrikethrough and insta-kills. Its representatives are Solar Flare, Chompzilla, Wall-Knight and Rose.

Now, for those who don't know, the Solar Class is EASILY my favourite class in all of this absolute beauty of a game. Because of this, I've come up with more cards for this class than the other classes.

Healing Herb

  • Classification: Leafy Plant
  • Stats: 4SunPvZH.png, 3StrengthPvZH.png, 3HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: When played, Heal 4.

This is basically the plant equivelant of the Medic. Now, the Medic is easily one of my favourite zombies to use when playing as Rustbolt (who happens to be my favourite Zombie Hero), so why not give the plants a counterpart? This card can be great when you need to heal your Hero or, in Wall-Knight's case, defensive plants.

Moonflower

  • Classification: Flower Plant
  • Stats: 3SunPvZH.png, 3HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: Team-Up. Start of turn, you get +1SunPvZH.png. If you made at least 6SunPvZH.png this turn, you instead get +2SunPvZH.png.

This card is essentially a more expensive, but more defensive Sunflower who powers up once your sun production starts cooking with gas (if you get what I mean). The Moonflower's investment could be a real help later on in the game when you want to play several powerful cards all in one go.

Rose Swordsman

  • Classification: Flower Plant
  • Stats: 3SunPvZH.png, 2StrengthPvZH.png, 2HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: Start of turn, all Flower Plants get +1StrengthPvZH.png and +1HeartPvZH.png.

Rose Swordsman is like the Team Mascot of the plant team. Imagine how much better a deck of Flowers could be with this! You could have a line of powerful Plants guarding the no longer defenceless sun producers! A Power Flower and a Briar Rose among these plants would ensure the safety of your flowery team. It would be amazing, just like when your Sports Zombies are encouraged by a Team Mascot!

Hypno-Shroom

  • Classification: Mushroom Plant
  • Stats: 3SunPvZH.png, 1StrengthPvZH.png, 3HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: When this hurts a zombie, deals 2 damage to the Zombie Hero.

The Hypno-Shroom's powers allow him to deal with a zombie, preferably one with low attack power, while getting that zombie to slowly chip away at the Zombie Hero. This could be quite an effective attack method, although the Hypno-Shroom's poor attack makes him useless against zombies with high health. His classification as a Mushroom also makes him good in battles as Solar Flare, where he works well with Buff-Shroom and Punish-Shroom plants.

Sweet Pea

  • Classification: Pea Plant
  • Stats: 4SunPvZH.png, 2StrengthPvZH.png, 2HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: Team-Up, when you play your first trick each turn, add a random trick to your hand

Sweet Pea is much like the Mad Chemist, albeit sacrificing some health for a Team-Up ability. Giving the player random tricks can be helpful, as you may get something like Espresso Fiesta or even Wall-Nut Bowling! Using this card as Chompzilla would be ideal, as she can access a plethora of Pea Plants to synchronise with this.

Sun-Shroom

  • Classification: Mushroom Plant
  • Stats: 3SunPvZH.png, 1StrengthPvZH.png, 2HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: When played, you get +3SunPvZH.png

Sun-Shroom's ability is like that of the Brain Vendor, giving you extra Sun immediately. This lets you play a Sun-Shroom and another plant with the sun you have, kind of like a 2-for-1 deal.

Kabloom PvZH Kabloom Icon.png

The Kabloom class specialises in PvZH Anti-Hero Icon.pngAnti-Hero and dealing direct damage using tricks. Its representatives are Solar Flare, Spudow, Nightcap and Captain Combustible.

Tangle Kelp

  • Classification: Vine Plant (look, I know Kelp isn't technically a vine, but this is the closest I can come to Kelp)
  • Stats: 4SunPvZH.png, 4StrengthPvZH.png, 1HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: When played, destroy a damaged zombie here or next door.

The Tangle Kelp's ability is an effective method to deal with powerful zombies you have already wounded. If your opponent is constantly playing overpowered cards such as Coffee Zombies, Wannabe Heroes and Octo Zombies, all you have to do is deal a little damage and play a Tangle Kelp nearby!

Shadow-Shroom

  • Classification: Mushroom Plant
  • Stats: 5SunPvZH.png, 3StrengthPvZH.png, 5HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: PvZH Anti-Hero Icon.pngAnti-Hero 3

The Shadow-Shroom possesses good stats and can utilise PvZH Anti-Hero Icon.pngAnti-Hero 3 to deal massive damage. I'm kind of seeing this as a borderline between Poison Ivy and Poison Oak, using the stats of the Walrus Rider as a baseline (exchanging the Amphibious trait for a little extra health).

Coconut Sniper

  • Classification: Nut Plant
  • Stats: 4SunPvZH.png, 2StrengthPvZH.png, 6HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: When destroyed, add a Coconut to your hand

The Coconut Sniper deals decent damage, but he does have great health, an unusual trait among Kabloom Plants. What's more, he adds a Coconut (see below) to your deck when destroyed!

Coconut

  • Classification: Nut Trick
  • Cost: 2SunPvZH.png
  • Function: All plants get +1StrengthPvZH.png and +1HeartPvZH.png

This is basically a more expensive, but less limited version of Storm Front that can also be used by Solar Flare and Captain Combustible. It's a great way to let Seedlings and other defenceless plants to attack while letting them withstand weak attacks.

Guardian PvZH Guardian Icon.png

The Guardian class specialises in PvZH Truestrike Icon.pngBullseye, Amphibious and PvZH Armored Icon.pngArmoured. Its representatives are Wall-Knight, Spudow, Grass Knuckles and Citron.

Infi-Nut

  • Classification: Nut Plant
  • Stats: 4SunPvZH.png, 7HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: Team-Up. Start of turn, Heal 2.

Infi-Nut's power to provide minor healing every turn can make him good for defending plants while keeping your hero alive. It can also be used to make one of your defensive walls virtually undefeatable.

Primal Potato Mine

  • Classification: Root Plant
  • Stats: 2SunPvZH.png, 1HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: Team-Up. When destroyed, deal 4 damage to a zombie here.

Picture the Primal Potato Mine as an upgrade to the modern Potato Mine. While not as powerful as Spudow's Hothead (and not as cheap either), Primal Potato Mines pack a serious SPUDOW (or should I say SPUD-OOP?) which can defeat threats that a normal mine cannot.

Hard-Nut

  • Classification: Nut Plant
  • Stats: 3SunPvZH.png, 10HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: PvZH Armored Icon.pngArmoured 1

The Hard-Nut has great health and armour to protect him from weak zombies. It'll take a lot of force - possibly a Maniacal Laugh on a strong zombie - to crush him in one go.

Spinecone

  • Classification: Pinecone Plant
  • Stats: 4SunPvZH.png, 3StrengthPvZH.png, 3HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: PvZH Truestrike Icon.pngBullseye. When this hurts the Zombie Hero, this gets +1StrengthPvZH.png

Spinecone benefits from repetitively landing hits in empty lanes. Not only does he ignore Block Meters, but it raises his Attack as well! Spudow and Wall-Knight can further benefit this plant with tricks that quickly dispose of threats.

Sneaky PvZH Sneaky Icon.png

The Sneaky class specialises in PvZH Anti-Hero Icon.pngAnti-Hero, PvZH Deadly Icon.pngDeadly, PvZH Strikethrough Icon.pngStrikethrough and Amphibious. Its representatives are Impfinity, Neptuna, Brain Freeze and Super Brainz.

Ice Hockey Goalie

  • Classification: Sports Zombie
  • Stats: 4BrainPvZH.png, 3StrengthPvZH.png, 3HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: When played, PvZH Frozen Icon.pngFreeze a plant.

Finally! A way for zombie heroes other than Brain Freeze to freeze plants! This guy's freezing power is like that of the Chilly Pepper, instantly stalling a crushing blow or letting a zombie last a little longer.

AC Perry

  • Classification: Professional Science Zombie
  • Stats: 5BrainPvZH.png, 3StrengthPvZH.png, 5HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: PvZH Strikethrough Icon.pngStrikethrough. When this hurts a plant, PvZH Frozen Icon.pngFreeze that plant.

I've noticed that the Zombies don't have enough Strikethrough powers. I've also wondered what it'd be like to merge Strikethrough with Freeze. Result? AC Perry. His attack can freeze several plants in one lane, making him great for stopping powerful attacks, usually from pea plants behind boosted Torchwoods.

Brainy PvZH Brainy Icon.png

The Brainy class specialises in PvZH Truestrike Icon.pngBullseye, increasing brain income and Zombie Tricks. Its representatives are Rustbolt, Immorticia, Professor Brainstorm and Super Brainz.

Brain Marketeer

  • Classification: Gourmet Zombie
  • Stats: 1BrainPvZH.png, 1StrengthPvZH.png, 1HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: Start of turn, you get +1BrainPvZH.png.

Brain Marketeer is basically the Sunflower of the Zombie Team. Due to a lack of Team-Up, however, I decided to let him be able to attack enemies. Make sure you think carefully before you play him, though, as one hit will finish him off!

Brain Scientist

  • Classification: Gourmet Science Zombie
  • Stats: 2BrainPvZH.png, 1StrengthPvZH.png, 2HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: When played, draw a card if you made at least 6BrainPvZH.png this turn.

Think of this as a Sage Sage with reversed StrengthPvZH.png and HeartPvZH.png. Unlike the Sage Sage, the Brain Scientist is best played if you want to block a few very weak hits, especially if you're playing as Rustbolt where you can increase his health and lower the strength of stronger plants. Using the Brain Scientist in the late game is ideal as well, as you'll get an extra card in doing so!

Hearty PvZH Hearty Icon.png

The Hearty class specialises in PvZH Armored Icon.pngArmoured, healing, lowering Attack and insta-kills. Its representatives are Rustbolt, Neptuna, The Smash and Z-Mech.

For those who don't know, the Hearty Class is my favourite zombie class in the game. Personally, I feel that I prefer Plants over Zombies in Heroes (and Garden Warfare). Anyhow, when I do the Hearty Zombie ideas (trust me, they're coming) I will try my best to do four of them.

Soccer Player

  • Classification: Sports Zombie
  • Stats: 3BrainPvZH.png, 2StrengthPvZH.png, 2HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: When this hurts a plant, deals 2 damage to the Plant Hero.

The Soccer Player is like the Hypno-Shroom idea I came up with earlier - he attacks the Plant Hero after attacking a Plant. This can make him useful for chipping away at the Plant Hero while dealing with plants, particularly if you've given him health boosts in the form of Camel Crossing, Healthy Treat and, as Rustbolt or Z-Mech, Rock Wall.

Medicine

  • Classification: Science Trick
  • Cost: 3BrainPvZH.png
  • Function: Heal 4, draw a card.

This is essentially 2nd-Best Taco of All Time in Zombie form. This can be useful as a quick healing method if your deck is short on Medics, particularly for your Hero or for a wounded zombie with high health.

Snack Vendor

  • Classification: Gourmet Sports Zombie
  • Stats: 5BrainPvZH.png, 4StrengthPvZH.png, 4HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: When played, shuffle four Healthy Treat cards into your deck.

This zombie might be expensive with below-average stats, but he comes with a long-term investment that gives you extra opportunities to raise the health of your zombies. Like with Sow Magic Beans, however, his ability doesn't work immediately, so plan ahead!

Basketball Pro

  • Classification: Sports Zombie
  • Stats: 3BrainPvZH.png, 3StrengthPvZH.png, 1HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: When played, make two 1StrengthPvZH.png/1HeartPvZH.png Basketball Players next door.

This zombie has poor health, but his high attack asked him good for attacking in empty lanes. He also has an ability that plays two weak zombies - one in each lane next door - for free, as long as there's space. If you have the room to use his ability, this zombie can be useful for dealing with several plants at once.

Crazy PvZH Crazy Icon.png

The Crazy class specialises in direct damage and tricks. Its representatives are Impfinity, Professor Brainstorm, Electric Boogaloo and Z-Mech.

Midnight Taco Festival

  • Classification: Gourmet Party Trick
  • Cost: 3BrainPvZH.png
  • Function: Make a random zombie with a rarity of Super Rare or lower here.

This is basically a bit like the Seedling, albeit more expensive, harder to counter and able to make a zombie of any cost. It can't, however, make Legendary Zombies (for obvious reasons!). If you want to try your luck, Midnight Taco Festival is for you.

Lollipop Zombie

  • Classification: Gourmet Zombie
  • Stats: 4BrainPvZH.png, 3StrengthPvZH.png, 3HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: When played, shuffle four Sugary Treat cards into your deck.

The Lollipop Zombie is like the Snack Vendor, albeit with lower stats, a cheaper cost and the ability to make Sugary Treats instead of Healthy ones. If you're hoping to boost the strength of your zombies later on, the Lollipop Zombie is your friend.

Beastly PvZH Beastly Icon.png

The Beastly class specialises in PvZH Frenzy Icon.pngFrenzy, stat boosts and Amphibious. Its representatives are Immorticia, Brain Freeze, The Smash and Electric Boogaloo.

Gargantuar Prime

  • Classification: Science Gargantuar Zombie
  • Stats: 6BrainPvZH.png, 3StrengthPvZH.png, 6HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: After combat here, this does a Bonus Attack. When played, destroy a plant with 3StrengthPvZH.png or less.

The Gargantuar Prime's attack is split into two parts, which makes it easier for the opposing Hero to block it but more deadly when you raise the zombie's strength. His ability is also useful if you want to quickly destroy a weak plant who's giving you a hard time.

Lich Gargantuar

  • Classification: Monster Gargantuar Zombie
  • Stats: 5BrainPvZH.png, 5StrengthPvZH.png, 5HeartPvZH.png
  • Abilities: Afterlife.

By using his Afterlife Ability, the Lich Gargantuar adds a 5StrengthPvZH.png/5HeartPvZH.png Lich Gargantuar's Revenge to your hand. Play him like you would play a Haunting Zombie for the best result!

What do you think of these ideas? Let me know!
