My favourite endless zone, as its difficulty spike (unlike the trashy dinosaur gimmick in La Brainsa Tarpits) prove worthy enough for the player to use their overpowered plants there.

Plants needed

  • Moonflower2.png and Shadow Peashooter2.png

Start by planting C2 and 3 with Moonflowers to get enough sun. Later on, dig up the moonflowers, leaving only the ones on C2R2,4 and feeling the rest of the spaces on C1-3 with Shadow Peashooters.
Shadow Peashooter is an excellent crowd controlling plant, slows zombies down and can drag down imps or zombies which mowed through your defense line as a last-minute attempt to keep the player's brains intact. I highly recommend upgrading this plant to level 6, at the minimum. Shadow Pea is generally a great plant in all endless zones, so long as Moonflower is viable.
Dusk Lobber2.png is another possible, albeit not as good plant for crowd control.

  • Explode-O-Nut2.png

Perfect plant to stall the first few zombies. When planted on C5, it explodes when destroyed/eaten, thereby killing many dangerous zombies spawned from the portals.
If the player has Blover and Reinforce-mint, Chard Guard2.png is an interesting alternative, just beware of Surfer Zombie2.png and All-Star Zombie2.png.
Otherwise, a mid-levelled (minimally level 5 and above) Primal Wall-nut2.png is the most rudimentary defense plant.
The final option for Reinforce-mint players is to use Infi-nut2.png, but plant it at C4R3 instead of C5 and use reinforce-mint immediately.

  • Blover2.png and Reinforce-mint2.png

The Spring Bean + Blover V2.0 combo is back, only this time the new "Spring Bean" also boosts your defensive plants as a bonus. Absolutely necessary, such that it's worthwhile to invest 2 seed slots and all your plant food for this ultimate instant kill.
Blover can also tackle early Balloon Zombie2.png and Imp2.png thrown from Gargantuars.

  • Pokra2.png

The most broken plant in pvz2, as of June 2020, and I hope Popcap/EA won't attempt to break this record! By planting her at C4, she is able to take down almost all zombies without much challenge, especially when combined with Shadow Pea and Explode nut.
Fortunately, a certain zombie known as multiple Boombox Zombie2.png spam at C5 NMT portals make Pokra a little less OP than she normally would be!

The 7th seed slot could contain 1 of the following plants:

  • Winter Melon2.png or Dusk Lobber2.png

For even more splash damage, by planting a column of them at C1. But I personally think it may not be necessary, especially if your Shadow Pea is at least level 4 and above.

  • Gold Bloom2.png or Solar Tomato2.png

Produces a burst of sun to set up a good defense for higher levels (level 50 and above), however, since the plants Shadow Pea, Pokra and Explode-o-nut are relatively cheap and Moonflower produces a ton of sun, I don't think they are a huge necessity.

  • Instants

Primal Potato Mine2.png, owing to it few seconds delay, is not a good choice for this EZ. Cherry Bomb2.png, Bombegranate2.png or Grapeshot2.png are better choices, but I think they are outclassed by 1 other faster-recharge instant...

  • Tumbleweed2.png

And let's welcome our new hero... Tumbleweed! As the Boombox Zombies play their tranquilising tunes, Tumbleweed + Blover will send them tumbling away, with a very high chance to stall these pests as well. With a rather fast recharge and costing only 50 sun, I believe that Tumbleweed is the best instant for this EZ. One of my biggest regrets, besides installing this Pvz2 game, Is to not upgrade my Tumbleweed to level 5, and my 3500 gem stash would surely agree with me.

The Zombies

Explorer Zombie2.png are the biggest pain to Explode-o-nut users. SO are instant-kill zombies which would prematurely destroy the nut, especially large hordes of All-Star Zombie2.png. Watch out for them! Besides that, so long as the player keeps stalling the first few zombies for as long as possible, I think my strategy is practically infallible.
