  • How I would create a plant level-up system for Pvz2.

  • Before shooting a big pea, Peashooter will pause, before slowly inflating and turning slightly red. This process takes 3 seconds in total. Firing the big pea on the target takes another 0.5 seconds.

  • When "normal" Peashooter reaches level 3, it will gain a special ability to mutate into a similar plant with a different function. In this case, when a pea hits a target, Rotobaga-like projectiles will shoot out from the pea, travelling diagonally till it hits another target, but it will cost more sun. Peashooter seed packets can be used to either upgrade the normal or the special Peashooter, depending on the Player's choice.
  • This new Peashooter's plant food effect does the same amount of damage on a direct target as the normal Peashooter, but there will also be diagonal-projectiles, dealing a total of half the amount of damage as the direct damage.

When boosted by Appease-mint2.png, Peashooter's direct pea damage will be multiplied by 4.5x, wrt to normal Peashooter upgraded level. Peashooter's peas, upon hitting a target, will also split into diagonal projectiles just like the mutant Peashooter, each diagonal projectile dealing 40 + 5(x-1) damage, with x = level of special Peashooter if it's level 2 and above. Otherwise, x = 1. <tabber>
