Scooter the Peashooter, commonly referred to as just "Scooter", is a character in the Plants vs. Zombies comic book series. He is a Peashooter that rides a kick-scooter and is commonly seen around Nate Timely, Patrice Blazing, Crazy Dave, and other plants.

Scooter looks similar to other Peashooters, with a few differences. His leaves are ripped and ragged than other Peashooters, to reflect a tougher appearance. Unlike other non-Garden Warfare Peashooters, he has leaf/pea pod hands (depending on the artist), making him much more capable.

Origins

Scooter was raised alone after his flower pot drifted away from home when the zombies flooded Neighborville.

When Nate and Belcher Von Boomthroat were cornered and surrounded by zombies, he scooted by and fended them off until Patrice and the other plants arrived. Since then, he helps Crazy Dave and others by doing odd jobs like washing windows, delivering plant food, or shining watering cans.

Personality

Due to growing up alone on the streets, Scooter is naturally tougher than the average Peashooter. Since he was adjusted to living alone, he was very anti-social and couldn't communicate well with the other plants. Scooter felt like an outcast because he didn't know how to fit in, and didn't understand the games the other Peashooters played. In a game of soccer with the Peashooters, the ball was passed to him. Not knowing what to do, he shot peas at the ball and popped it, ruining the game.

In Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (Volume 2) after meeting Nate, Belcher, and the other Peashooters, he realized the values of working as a team. When zombies arrived to stop them from cleaning the solar panels Zomboss painted over, the Peashooters needed to quickly choose a leader. They all chose Scooter and he scooted into the fight with the Peashooters riding the cart attached.

In Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (Volume 3), Scooter and the rest of the plant army would get tricked by Dr. Zomboss into going into Hoo-Ray Stadium, getting ambushed by Space Cadets and trapped in a cage. Not letting up, Scooter shot a pea that would ricochet off various objects in Neighborville until it reached the "In Case All Plants Have Been Captured By Zombies" alarm button.

While Nate, Patrice, and Crazy Dave are trying to assemble a new army to rescue the captured plants, they send Night Caps to deliver a message to the captured plants that they're on the way. Later on in the comic, Nate, Patrice, and Crazy Dave would arrive and rescue everyone out of the cage with a hot air balloon.

In Plants vs. Zombies: Better Homes and Guardens, Scooter would assist in a rescue operation to save humans that were captured in Dr. Zomboss' M.E.H, with Nate, Patrice, Grrawrr-bear the Ultimate Face Puncher, Fred the Sunflower, Wally the Tall-Nut, Edgar Allen Potato Mine, and Melon Collie.

In Plants vs. Zombies: The Garden Path, the reader has to choose between three plants to stay behind and defeat the zombies, Scooter (named Peashooter in the panel) is apart of the three alongside Sunflower and Chomper. If Peashooter was chosen, he would fight the zombies until he got too tired to continue fighting, resulting in being eaten and getting the bad ending.

Later on in the comic, if you trusted the plants, Scooter would become Captain and help drive the zombies out of the school.

In Plants vs. Zombies: Multi-ball-istic, the plants would get divided into multiple platoons to defend the Brainhouse letters, with Scooter starring in the platoon named Ice Cream Sandwich.

In Plants vs. Zombies: Constructionary Tales, Plants vs. Zombies: Dream A Little Scheme, and Plants vs. Zombies: Impfestation, Scooter would occasionally appear as a minor background character.
