Sunken Pyramid Revival Message

lama, I have an idea. I wanted to add a rule where players require mana (or energy, stamina, you decide what it will be called) and cooldowns. Mana is consumed to unleash attacks. Every ability (except the Warriors and Pirates basic attack) uses mana. There are several special types of this for every class.

• Rage: Used by Warriors and Pirates. Can be gained by using their basic attack at enemies. Using offense abilities can also charge it a bit. It can also be gained by Rage Potions. Max out to 100. Limit cannot be increased.

• Mana:  Used by Mages and Clerics. Can be gained by drinking man's potions or over period, one bit per turn. Start at 100. Can be increased by various Off-hand Items.

• Energy: Used by Spies. Can be gained by drinking energy drinks or resting (not attacking on a turn), regaining medium amount per turn of rest. Starts at 100. Can be increased by various Off-hand Items.

Also to prevent having players using too much effect attacks every turn, I would like to add cooldowns to every second and third abilities.

Also, I was thinking of either: Players will get 1 PFA at level 1 and another 1 at level 10, they can choose of which they can bring for the rest of the level. Or all PFAs are unlocked at level 10, but you can only choose 1 to bring the entire level?

Hey, about your removal of my strategy to the ZAG page - Remember, I wrote all of that myself, I think it'd be much better to go about the strategy not being concise by editing it than just completely removing all of it. That seems a little unfair, doesn't it? I might edit it myself and try to shave off a few bytes. I don't think my strategy section is overwhelming. Most CCG guides are actually quite large, and very precise on what works and what doesn't, even if it seems like they could work. I thought it was more well-told, the previous revision wasn't very informing and actually had combos that wouldn't really work.

Unless spreading mediocre strategy on strategy sections is what they're designed to do, maybe we can come to an agreement on this, repeater. Maybe that section could be tweaked to be formatted.Mental Skillness (talk) 04:43, November 4, 2017 (UTC)

I don't think it will. Maybe when you add the icons and the links it will look more visually appealing. I'll try not to talk in first person from now on, but I'm just trying to make strategies give more insight, because I notice strategies are written as if they target very very young audiences (With blatantly saying the obvious) and feeling rather automatic and formulaic. 

And Repeater, last I heard, a lot of strategy guides for actually anything at all are normally very big and informative. Repeater, do you happen to know any strategy games that make their guides rather formulaic, small, and obvious? I think they should be more expressive to how to use it, than just saying "If you put Vitamin Z on this, this will be a little bit better".

I guess so, but maybe there could just be a bit more than explaining that it works, and explain HOW it works instead. Though, I like the new idea you're proposing. I feel like more players who know what they're doing should try to make strategies than basically do a bunch of math and call that a "strategy".

I might do a few revisions for strategies to show what I'm getting at. Your examples show what I mean but they still resignate that more cookie-cutter style, but you do directly mention synergies which is a good start. I'd generally just like the strategy sections to be improved, many experienced PvZH Players complain about the amount of generic writing, the obvious being told and no writer's integrity into them either, they seem to get their charm from the icons. I'm sure if you stripped the icons and links, it'd look pretty pathetic.

Sorry if I sound a bit "rude" per se, I'm just trying to be more blunt, I think this is an issue that has been long overdue te be addressed. Most wikis try to provide as much information to the game's strategy to help players, if the integrity goes into making it as simplistic, uninforming and generic as possible, well, that can be an issue.
