Hello everyone, my name is Someone456, a historic man on the Plants vs. Zombies Wiki. I had been the ranked 1 user and had most edits for about several years. I like helping the wiki. On the articles, you can see zombie encounters, history sections, list pages, level tables. They were first invented by me, and I feel happy that many people do these jobs too. If you ask me why did I do them, because I am satisfied by doing those jobs.

I have played Plants vs. Zombies (old PC version), Plants vs. Zombies Adventures, and Plants vs. Zombies 2.

Sadly, my activity has dropped since 2017 because I have to concentrate to university life. I still check the wiki regularly.

	Plants

Peashooter: 5/10. Weak, all of us know. I think Potato Mine or Squash to save sun at the levels beginning is better than use him.
Sunflower: 9.5/10. We must use her, that’s all.
Cherry Bomb: 8.5/10. The first instant kill that we receive. Very useful in any levels. 3x3 area is enough to kill lot of zombies. Saves my brain when emergency. When I lose one Cob Cannon in Survival: Endless, kills Balloon Zombies when I don't have Cactus, kills Snorkel Zombies in BTLZ before I get a Wall-nut. And kills multiple zombies in Vasebreaker Endless.
Wall-nut (Normal): 5.5/10. Cheap but weak and can be vaulted over. Tall-nut and Pumpkin are better. Only useful in early levels. But he is cute! (Bowling): 7/10. I like Wall-nut Bowling. It is quite funny that the Wall-nut keep rolling on the lawn. And one Wall-nut is able to kill lot of zombies.
Potato Mine: 6/10. Save your sun when beginning and he is really cheap. Only 25 sun. But we know his big disadvantage. He takes 15 seconds to arm himself. So very useless when there are lot of zombies.
Snow Pea: 7.5/10. Not very expensive, cheaper than two Peashooters and more effective. But I like fire pea more so I rarely use him. Very good in Vasebreaker Endless. Make all zombies stick together than use a Squash to kill them.
Chomper: 5/10. Most users say this is the worst plant. I think he is bad but not the worst. His fast recharge doesn't make him become the worst plant. I use him when emergency.
Repeater: 8.5/10. I like this. Useful in most of levels. 200 sun is not very expensive. Can be very strong with Torchwood. With Snow Pea is good idea, too. Upgrade to Gatling Pea can make him more powerful. Reverse Repeater is very helpful in Vasebreaker, too. I always use him in Day and Pool levels.
Puff-shroom: 7/10. Can somebody doesn't use him to survive in all Night and Fog levels? The answer is no. He is also a good delayer to delay Gargantuars or at the beginning to delay Zombies.
Sun-shroom:7/10. A cute Mushroom, right? Although gives small sun at beginning, she is cheap so you can plant many at first. She is much better than Sunflower at Night.
Fume-shroom: 8/10. Short range is his disadvantage. But does the same damage to all zombies in his Fume and it can pass all shields. And 75 sun is quite cheap at the Night. Upgrade to Gloom-shroom is a great idea, too.
Grave Buster: 8/10. Although he only has one function, eats graves, we must use him at Night, or your lawn will become lot of these ugly graves. But, his eating speed is too slow.
Hypno-shroom: 3/10. She is useless. Only useful when your defense is not finished. And there lot of zombies in Survival Mode. Even you can hypnotize the Giga-Football Zombie, he can't survive when there are many zombies.
Scaredy-shroom: 5/10. He is cheap and useful in the beginning of Night and Fog levels. But he will hide himself when he feels scared. Very annoying. I seldom use him because I have enough sun to plant other stronger plants such as Fume-shroom and Gloom-shroom.
Ice-shroom: 9/10. This plant lets me to survive over 1500 flags in Survival: Endless. Most of new players think this is an useless Mushroom. I thought he is quite useless until I play Survival: Endless and watch Hitori Dakeno’s videos. He is very effective and saves my life countless times.
Doom-shroom: 8/10. Much more stronger than Cherry Bomb and cheaper than him at night time levels. His range is over the half of the screen (7x5)! But he leaves an ugly crater on the lawn for three minutes!!!!! This is the reason that why he is not better than Cherry Bomb.
Lily Pad: 10/10. Everyone knows the reason.
Squash: 8.5/10. An area of effect plant, cheap, 50 sun only and recharge time is fast (for instant kills). Very useful forever! Good for many levels such as Vasebreaker Endless, Column Like You See 'Em and Survival. The only disadvantage is: can be cheated.
Threepeater: 6/10. More expensive than three Peashooters but saves your spaces. I don't like him due to his price and he only shoots one Pea each lane. However, it is quite good when he is free (Vasebreaker Endless and 3-10).
Tangle Kelp: 4/10. An aquatic Potato Mine but he is not lazy. Only useful to kill Snorkel Zombie and Dolphin Rider Zombie. But later, we get Tall-nut and lobbed-shot plants so we don't need him any more!
Jalapeno: 7/10. A good explosive and he is the only plant who can melt Ice trail and Iceball. Use him to kill Digger Zombie or Imp with Gargantuar is a good idea. But I can't understand why lot of people say he is better than Cherry Bomb. He only attacks one lane and only Digger Zombie, Bungee Zombie and Imp can go to the left side on my lawn. I have other ways to kill them, so I usually don't need him.
Spikeweed: 6.5/10. Stops Zomboni, can't be eaten. But only can do four to five damages to a normal speed zombie. Plant lot of them with slowing plants to kill zombies is a great strategy.
Torchwood: 8/10. Fire Peas is my favorite strategy to kill Zombies. He makes all peashooting plants (except Snow Pea) become extremely strong. Three Gatling Peas with him can kill a Giga-gargantuar under 25 seconds.
Tall-nut: 7.5/10. Strong, high health, unlike Wall-nut, he can stop all vaulting zombies. Very useful in Adventure Mode and Mini-games. But in Survival Mode, lot of Zombonis, Ladder Zombies, Gargantuars and Giga-gargantuars appear. They just ignore Tall-nut, so Tall-nut is quite useless in Survival Mode.
Sea-shroom: 5.5/10. Many users say he is useless because his slow recharge. Actually, you are enough to plant four to five Sea-shrooms before the first Ducky Tube Zombie comes. But, same as Puff-shroom, his is too weak, too.
Plantern: 6/10. Useful if Adventure Mode, you just need 150 sun (with two Garlics) and the fog will not come again. However, she wastes your spaces in Survival Mode (especially Survival: Fog (Endless)).
Cactus: 2/10. Only one special function: pop balloon. Everybody must use Cattail to defeat Balloon Zombies in Pool and Fog. I use Blover to blow away Balloon Zombies in Day, Night and Roof. Plant Cactus = waste space!! He (Almanac says she, I mad!) is most useless plant ever!
Blover: 7/10. Blows away Balloon Zombies and Fog. I use her to blow away Balloon Zombies in Day, Night and Roof levels. You don't need to plant Cactus (waste spaces!). But it is quite annoying that the fog keeps coming back and new Balloon Zombies come in. You need to spend lot of sun to use Blovers again and again.
Split Pea: 4/10. Useless, he is not an area of effect plant. You will be in trouble if lot of Digger Zombies appear. Gloom-shroom is better than him. You just need 225 sun (or 300) to kill three lanes of Digger Zombies. Better than use three Split Peas.
Starfruit: 2.5/10. Cannot kill a normal Zombie. Shoots his weak stars awkwardly. Most players don't know how to use him correctly. This plant is made for let I, Zombie Endless harder. That's all!
Pumpkin: 9/10. Saves your spaces and protects your important plants. All of us need him to survive in Survival: Endless. I hope his health can be higher.
Magnet-shroom: 6.5/10. Reduces Football Zombie’s health from 80 to 10 immediately. Takes away some danger items such as Jack-in-the-Box and ladder. Great for Mini-games and Adventure, but very useless in Survival Mode, 15 seconds = too long!
Cabbage-pult: 5.5/10. Weak, all of us know. Similar to Peashooter, but she can ignore Shield Zombies.
Flower Pot: 10/10. Everyone knows the reason.
Kernel-pult: 7/10. Very powerful if you plant lot of them. Keeps throwing butter to freeze zombies. With Snow Pea and Spikerock is a powerful strategy.
Coffee Bean: 9.5/10. No one can use mushrooms in daytime if without this.
Garlic: 7/10. Great for No Sunflower strategies and amazing with Gloom-shroom. Good for protect some plants such as Plantern, one row of Sunflowers in Adventure and Mini-games.
Umbrella Leaf: 8/10. Bungee, Bungee, Bungee, Bungee, Bungee… and the annoying basketball. This plant stops them easily and forever.
Marigold: 3/10. I don't need Gold Farming.
Melon-pult: 8/10. Powerful, splash damage, ignores shields. But her attack rate is too slow (lobbed-shot plants' big disadvantage) and too expensive at the beginning. I like pea more. You must upgrade her to Winter Melon, Melon-pult is too simple.
Gatling Pea: 9.5/10. My favorite plant. Shoots four peas at one time. Plant lot of them with Torchwood can be extremely strong. This plant is good for all Survival levels (of course, except Roof). Three Gatling Peas with Torchwood can take down a Giga-gargantuar about 20 seconds only. But he can't pass shields and Torchwood splash damage is too low, 0.7 only. You may lose if there are lot of high health zombies (especially Screen Door Zombies and Zombonis).
Twin Sunflower: 10/10. Sun-producing plant. She saves your spaces in Survival: Endless, but high cost.
Gloom-shroom: 8.5/10. A great helper. He can't kill a Flag Zombie before he eats him! But Gloom-shroom has other good usages. Same as Fume-shroom, an AoE. We use him to kill Digger Zombies and Imps in Survival Mode. You can plant them on the pool lanes to kill other zombies. With Garlic is very good at Adventure Mode and Mini-games.
Cattail: 6.5/10. I can't understand that why lot of players think she is the best. Only good for No Sunflower strategies, pop Balloon Zombies and Adventure Fog first time. Not an AoE, only does two damages each time, shoots her spikes slowly and they always can't hit zombies (they are killed by other plants before Cattail shoots her spikes). Not a very good plant.
Winter Melon: 9.5/10. Powerful, splash damage, ignores shields and slow down zombies! She is one of the most powerful plants in the game. Makes the zombies become slowly, very effective. With Cob Cannon is good for Survival: Endless. With Gloom-shroom to kill zombies is an amazing strategy. Some bad things, Zomboni is her weakness and 500 sun is quite high.
Gold Magnet: 1.5/10. My fingers are fast.
Spikerock: 8/10. In Survival: Endless, I use him to delay Giga-gargantuars. If I don't use him, I think Giga-gargantuars crush my Cob Cannons over 100 times. I say this again, with Snow Pea]] and Kernel-pult is good for Adventure levels.
Cob Cannon: 8/10. I use eight cobs strategy to survive in Survival: Endless. It is very hard if I don't use him. Kills lot of zombies together. Very useful in Survival Mode (if you have enough spaces). But he can't be protected by Pumpkin. This is his big weakness.
Imitater: .....................................
Explode-o-nut: 7.5/10. Explodes to kill many Buckethead Zombies and Screen Door Zombies. Good for emergency. But only appears in four levels.
Giant Wall-nut: 7/10. Kills all zombies in the lane and can't be vaulted over. Lot of zombies die together. High health in Big Time. But only appears in two levels.
