He costs 125 sun and serves as an upgrade to Spikeweed and has the same purpose as Spikeweed, but deals damage faster and can withstand 8 wheel pops or Gargantuar smashes before being destroyed.

Spikerock returns in Plants vs. Zombies 2, this time as his own plant, being unlocked after beating Pirate Seas Day 18. Due to no longer being an upgrade plant, Spikerock got some considerable nerfs, costing 250 sun (25 more than his overall cost in Plants vs. Zombies) and only being able to withstand two crushes before being destroyed on the third.

He is a member of the Spear-mint family, dealing 100 more damage when powered by one, along with being summoned during her effect and his Plant Food ability, like Spikeweed, drags all the zombies in his lane to his tile, dealing damage to them along the way.
