Survival: Fog (Hard)
Survival: Fog (Hard) is the ninth level of Survival Mode in Plants vs. Zombies, Plants vs. Zombies: Journey to the West, and Plants vs. Zombies: Great Wall Edition. Being set in the fog, this level contains ten waves of zombies divided by two flags for each and for every two flags survived, and the player will be given a chance to strategize by changing the set of plants they chose from the previous waves. It is generally considered to be the most difficult level of the Hard modes.
Strategy

For the first two flags, the eight best plants to choose are Sun-shroom and/or Sunflower, Puff-shroom, Sea-shroom, Plantern, Wall-nut, Lily Pad, Split Pea, and Torchwood. The other plants are up to you. Plant Sun-shrooms/Sunflowers in the second column (excluding water rows) followed by the third column. Then, plant your Puff-shrooms right behind the fog line (where the fog starts). When you can plant your Sea-shroom, plant it in the same lane. When you want to plant the Plantern, have at least 75 sun so you can plant a Plantern and a Wall-nut or Garlic right after that. The Plantern should be on the seventh column and for the Wall-nut or Garlic, eighth column. Plant Puff-shrooms and Sea-shrooms in the sixth column. Keep collecting sun until you get about 150 sun, then start planting Split Peas on the fourth column. The fifth column will have Torchwoods. Place Lily Pads on the first, second, and third column. On the water lanes, place a Split Pea on the first Lily Pad, Torchwood on second Lily Pad, and Wall-nut on the third Lily Pad. If you plant Sunflowers, it would be wise to upgrade them to Twin Sunflowers.
