Golden plants are hybrid plants that use a golden seed packet, allowing them to be obtained through a Treasure Buster.
Although the almanac entries mention them increasing the sun cost of every golden plant for every golden plant planted, this is not the case at all in Plants vs. Zombies: Original Edition and they simply do not increase the sun costs, while it is the case in Plants vs. Zombies: Hybrid Version mod, the mod which these plants originate from.
