The clamshell is a shield, weapon, and environment modifier that appears in the Chinese version of Plants vs. Zombies 2. It is used by the Shell Zombie and has the toughness of a knight helm. When it encounters a plant, the clamshell will close on any plant within range, killing them instantly. This makes the clamshell both a high-toughness shield and an instant-kill weapon against non-defensive plants.
