Plants vs. Zombies: Kingdom Edition (植物大战僵尸: 王国版; pinyin: Zhíwù dàzhàn jiāngshī: Wángguó bǎn) is a scrapped Chinese-exclusive installment in the Plants vs. Zombies developed by PopCap Games's Shanghai Studio and Popcap Apac. During a Q&A with PopCap CEO David Roberts, the game was said to combine the original game's features with the traditional Chinese three kingdoms story and medieval-styled characters. Some concept arts suggested that the game would be based around travelling between different ancient kingdoms instead. Among the features listed were hero training, sharing achievements with friends, and a possible story mode. The game began production around the same time as Plants vs. Zombies: Great Wall Edition and production halted at an unknown date. Due to the few concept art and articles surrounding the project, it can be assumed that the game was scrapped early into the planning phase.
