Gameplay
The gameplay consists of matching items in a grid, each level has a target item to get and an amount of said item to have collected before the given amount of moves runs out. Upon beating a level the player collects Sun and Coins. Sun can be used to clear the fog and defeat the zombies in the current area the player is in. This cycle is repeated until the current area is completely removed of fog and zombies. Once completing said area, the player receives a Piñata containing Coins. They can then progress to the next area, repeating the gameplay loop.
Features
The game currently features 3 currencies: Sun, Hearts & Coins. Sun is used for progressing the story, and is collected at the end of a level. Hearts are used for playing levels, and recharge by 1 every few minutes. Coins currently don’t seem to have a purpose, they are obtained through beating levels and opening Piñatas. The game also features multiple areas, currently, they are as follows:
- Taco Stand
- Pinata Ranch
- Firework Factory

Trivia
- Despite being an official game in the Plants vs. Zombies series, the game has little relation to PopCap Games, being both developed and published by completely different EA-owned companies.
- The game has most of its soundtrack being reused Plants vs. Zombies Adventures's battle music, with its level complete theme being the plant victory theme from Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. The game's only unique music currently is its area complete and "You Found SUN!" themes.
