I don't even know how. I was playing KO at the OK Arcade and I got into an incredibly specific situation that totally broke Solar Flare.
It's not a crash; the game runs just fine, I can exit out into the options, but she won't do anything, and the thought bubble is missing.
For anyone who wants specific details in attempt to replicate this, I will list the important cards to achieve what I did, and how the game was going.
- Only plant out was a Morning Glory (buffed by the 6+ turns, so 3 damage/3 HP) on the 5th lane.
- Zombies out, from leftmost lane to rightmost lane, are:
- Cat Lady with Frenzy and 7 damage (used Camel Crossing two times this turn + Coffee Zombie once, who also died). 10 HP.
- Flag Zombie with Frenzy, 1 damage, and 7 HP.
- Arm Wrestler with 2 damage and 5 HP.
- Knight of the Living Dead with 5 damage and 9 HP.
- Another Knight of the Living Dead with 5 damage and 7 HP, this time.
- Plant Hero was Solar Flare, Zombie Hero was Rustbolt.
- Plant Hero had 5 HP, and just blocked the Arm Wrestler via a full shield gauge. Zombie hero had 3 HP, and had 4/8 slots on the shield gauge. Both had only 1 superpower trick left, discounting the power Solar Flare had just obtained.
- It was at LEAST above turn 6.
- Solar Flare had already used Weed Whack and More Spore, leaving only Scorched Earth and Sunburn as potential superpowers she could have obtained.
I'm not sure if this is possible to replicate or if it's just a random happening. I'm also not sure if there's other ways to break the AI in this game, and put them into a scenario where they get stuck not making any moves. I'd assume there are, but they're one in a quadrillion most likely.
At any rate, if this is somehow a glitch that is able to be replicated, I say we call it the "TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES - PLEASE STAND BY" glitch, based off the end comic to The Great Cave Raid.
