I want this wiki to look like it was written by mature professionals, not five-year olds! Here is how I think it should work (partially taken from here): Render single-digit whole numbers from zero to ten as words. Render numbers greater than ten as figures or, with consistency within each article, render numbers over nine that take two words or fewer to say as words (about five million people; 16 or sixteen; 84 or eighty-four; 200 or two hundred; but 3.75, 544, 21 million). Words may be preferable for approximations. Render comparable quantities, mentioned together, either all as words or all as figures (5 cats and 32 dogs, or five cats and thirty-two dogs; but not five cats and 32 dogs or 5 cats and thirty-two dogs). Render differently (with words or figures) adjacent quantities that are not comparable (thirty-six 6.4-inch rifled guns; not 36 6.4-inch rifled guns). Render sun, brain, and money costs as numbers ($5 rather than five dollars). Milesprower2 – A two-tailed Brony! TALK – CONTRIBS – BLOG I agree with Brainulator on this. While it isn't grammatically incorrect to use 9 instead of nine or 5 instead of five, single-digit numbers should be words not digits, and numbers 10 or higher should be digits.
