Nom Nom Nom

Nom Nom Nom is an achievement in Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PlayStation Vita versions of Plants vs. Zombies. In order to complete it, the player must complete a level by using Sunflowers, Wall-nuts, and Chompers as their only plants.

Origins

• Its name is based on a common onomatopoeia for eating, "om nom nom".
  • Additionally, it may also be based on the internet meme "Om Nom Nom Nom", which originated from the children's TV show Sesame Street.

Strategies

• As a relatively straightforward achievement, this achievement only requires the player to use only Sunflower, Chomper and Wall-nut to complete a level.
  • As these plants are all obtained during the Day, the player can attempt this achievement as early as level 1-8, when they have obtained the Chomper.
    • Additionally, playing through level 1-8 for the first time is the most opportune time to obtain this achievement, as not many zombies are present in this level's first playthrough.

• As the achievement states, only Sunflower, Chomper and Wall-nut may be used to complete the level.
  • This means that if the player plants any other plant, it will result in failure to unlock this achievement.
• Chompers may take a very long time to swallow their victims.
  • Once a stable sun production has been set up, the player can remove chewing Chompers and replant new ones to get rid of zombies quicker.
    • As Chompers may be expensive to plant in quick succession, at least 3 columns of Sunflowers are recommended for an easier completion.
• It is almost impossible to obtain this achievement in roof, pool or fog levels, as these areas require the player to use Lily Pads and Flower Pots to plant other plants.
• Wall-nut First Aid is recommended, but not necessary.

Trivia

• In the description, Wall-nut is spelled Wallnut instead of Wall-nut.
• The requirements to complete this achievement might be a reference to Wall-nut and Chomper being roommates in college, according to the Tree of Wisdom.
• The lawn ornament for this achievement in the Xbox Live version is a Wall-nut, Chomper and Sunflower totem, carved out of wood.
• This achievement cannot be achieved in Co-Op.
